Triryche
You are connecting your speakers/headphones directly to the Toneport? Try using POD Farm 1.12 (not POD Farm 2.5), it is a free upgrade from Gearbox.
smiley_ie
If i plugin with headphones into the gutairport there's no delay works fine, Installed POD farm 1.12 and am getting same latency problem when play back through PC, The setup is L&R channel from Gutairport to the PC soundcard Xonar DX2 then line out to amp with speakers same setup i used when worked. Also disabled power management on usb and tryed different usb ports.
TheRealZap
you will always have this issue if you are trying to use a different card for In and out.... you HAVE to use the same card (meaning plug into the guitarport) in order for it to work right. there is no fix... because it's not really a problem... you are just trying to use it in an unintended manner. Triryche
+1 to Zap. The GP becomes your soundcard therefore you should connect your monitoring solution to the GP. The latency you are experiencing is your internal soundcard. You might want to invest in a mixer, that way you can easily switch between different input devices. smiley_ie
@ TherealZap I am using only one card " not onboard thats disabled " a Xonar DX2, spec's below http://www.asus.com/Sound_Cards_and_DigitaltoAnalog_Converters/Xonar_D2X/#specifications This is how i recorded before with XP/Vista all i do is record in soundbooth while playing a track back in realtime, Tried it on a friends PC and it works no latency he has a soundblaster card. TheRealZap
as triryche pointed out the guitarport is a soundcard, so if you are using the one you linked to and the guitarport you are using 2. certainly don't know about your friends situation or PC, but it's a standard for audio production that only a single card is used... this helps latency by ensuring that the audio uses 1 hardware clock to sync the input and output thereby controlling latency and many other time related artifacts. if you want to use your speakers your best hope is to get a cable from the out of the guitarport to the input on your internal card... might work, but you'd be trying your luck there. smiley_ie
Done some more testing and removed my xonar d2x card and used onboard realtek audio and it works with only a tiny tiny hint of latency ? will check on asus site or get beta drivers or some way to change latency on the card. Thanks for the help
