You can't do that. There's no remote editing capabilities with the M13. You could send PC and CC messages to the M13 to control it (change scenes, turn effects on and off, control the looper, etc.), but as far as controlling individual parameters within effects and stuff that you'd do with a editing program, there's no way to do that.

And that's the beauty of it! I have both an HD500 and an M13. Great for having choices. For tube amp loud rock gigs I use the M13 and a tube rig. For dance/ R and B/funk etc...type gigs I use the HD500 and an FRFR speaker rig.The HD500 has an excellent editor for pc I use a lot. The M13 I set up on a table or stool in front of me and work with it and the amp I will use it with.

This is a shame, for a MIDI-controllable device. It would be super awesome to even be able to control the parameters via MIDI from an iPad or similar.

I use my M13 as an outboard FX processor in my studio and it'd be great to be able to access all the parameters from an iPad/program FX envelopes from a DAW.....

Any chance this functionality can be added thru an update? Or unlikely??

I very highly doubt there will be anything more in the way of firmware updates for the M13. The last firmware update was over 3.5 years ago, and that was some relatively minor bug fixes. I think it's pretty safe to say that Line 6 isn't looking to take the product any further than it already is.
