bujandric92
Well, technically it is. I just tried it today through a Marshall JCM 800 and a JCM 2000, at the same time. I didn't use an A/B box or anything similar, had no hum or extra feedback, everything went pretty smooth. My question here is: Is it really possible, or was I just lucky? And more importantly, has anyone ever tried this before and succeeded without burning/electrocuting anything or anyone? Now as you all know, there are two outputs on the Line 6 POD XT live, not counting the Phones output. I basically used one of them for one amp, the other for the other amp. It sounded great and all, but I understand that there can be some trouble here with the ground and phase. I'd like to hear from ANYONE that has ever tried something like this. The amps that I play on aren't mine, and even if they were, I wouldn't like to fry them or anything else because of my ignorance. I guess my real question here is: Is what I'm doing SAFE? Because it works, I just don't want to lollipop anything up.Cheers!
phil_m
You're talking about connecting to amps in stereo to the XT Live? Yeah, that's totally possible. Nothing wrong with doing it at all. There worst that could happen is you'll have noise issues, but as far as damaging the amps, there's nothing to worry about at all.
BillBee
Yep used to do that all the time and it does sound sweet- if you ever get a chance try it with an X3 running the dual tones - one panned left one panned right :)
