357mag
Been thinking about trying an HD Pro X. I wasn't even aware Line 6 came out with a new model. I'm currently using the X3 Pro which works very well for me for the most part. I tried an HD Pro and I found it more difficult to dial in my tone. But I'm certainly willing to spend time monkeying with another one (I have a nice discount coming to me). Are you happy with your HD Pro X? TheRealZap
i'm happy with the hd pro x... BUT... its identical to the HD pro as far as how it operates etc... so if you didn't like it before you won't like it now.
357mag
Yeah I kinda suspected it operated like the HD Pro, but most of the people who have one have said they feel the sound is superior to the X3. I got lotsa time to get to know it.
silverhead
Yes - the sound of the HD series PODs is superior to the X3 series in most people's opinion. Given that sound is subjective, some may prefer the X3. However what's not subjective is the fact that the HD modeling is based on newer technology that utilizes about 10 times the sampling of the X3. To my ears that makes a real difference. But yes, it's a more complicated beast and has a steeper learning curve.
357mag
I pulled the trigger and ordered one. Looking forward to spending time with it. Will Line 6 be adding more amp models to it?
