rogue203
So, I've been trying to clean up my board that has my POD HD500x and the few external pedals that I use. One of the things I've been trying to figure out is how to change the power plug to a right angle plug. I found this adapter on Amazon to use with the existing plug. It seems to work ok, and I've had it on for the last 8 hours without any overheating problems. But, the plug is longer than the normal plug, so there's a bit of the metal portion still exposed. I don't expect that to cause a problem, but I'm paranoid about that sort of thing. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Or, has anyone replaced the plug at the end of the standard power supply? For someone that studied electrical engineering (20 years ago), I'm reluctant to mess with it.
stumblinman
I just built a custom cover for my pedalboard to protect the plug, since I have an L6 Link cable that sticks out just as far. Prevents them from being stepped on accidentally, since I had to repair my original 500 due to a drunk person doing just that.
