lefty6921 Posted September 2, 2014 Share Posted September 2, 2014 Wondering if anyone can help. I'm having trouble finding the best way to hook these 2 together. I tried the 4 cable method and I lose the duoverb sounds as well as the fx loop on/off. I went directly to the front but can switch pod off. phil_m Posted September 2, 2014 Share Posted September 2, 2014 The 4-cable method should actually work pretty well with the Duoverb. If you had everything connected correctly, and had the FX Loop block in the right place in the HD500, you shouldn't lose the sounds from the Duoverb. The one thing is that the Duoverb loop can be stereo, so if you're using two different amp models on it, you'd have to connect the POD to it in stereo in order to get everything to work correctly. I also have a short board (which I forgot to mention) when I try to turn off the fx loop on the shortboard, there is no sound coming from the duoverb. I followed the youtube (line 6 support) on the 4 cable method, but no sound when I turn fx loop off. Any thoughts? I had a flextone and while it was nice there is no comparison to the amps and tones in the 500... radatats Posted September 4, 2014 Share Posted September 4, 2014 just take two regular TS cables from the left and right 1/4 outs on the POD to the left and right effects loop return on the back of the Duoverb. A dummy jack is just a guitar jack not connected to anything. You could use a spare guitar cable but it might pick up some hum. I would get a spare 1/4 inch jack and plug that in by itself, not wired to anything. PS - interested in how this sounds once you get it running...
