Help with Spider IV 30 Settings for Live Playing

I normally use my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for most gigs, but for smaller venues I sometimes bring the Spider IV 30.  I use a pedal board for effects including distortion...tube screamer pedal.  What I'm after is the max head room possible as loud as possible out of the little amp.  I tried the Tweed Green last night but as I turned up the mids the amp went from cleanish to distorted.

Any advice from the Line6 pros???

It's difficult to sit in a room and experiment with settings that will never work with live playing.  So I have to experiment as I'm playing and the amp is a little too difficult to use for that.  I like the simplicity of the Hot Rod Deluxe.  So Line6...please consider adding a manual button to the Spider 30 watt just like the Spider IV 75.  The Spider 30 is a serious little gigging amp.  You guys should add more features to that amp for the pro player.

Thanks,
