Receiving "No authorised device" message when trying to use PodFarm via UX2 with Cubase 5
by beardykidda on 2013-03-19 07:57:15

Hi, I've just run line 6 monkey and updated a couple of things and then went to the licence manager section and it appeared that my devices weren't authorised, so naturally I clicked the button to authorise them and also downloaded the Propellorhead software it asks you to dowload. I went back into Cubase and when I tried to use podfarm, all my settings had been reset back to default and when trying to open podfarm i got the message "No authorised device or device not connected" etc - see pic below. I've not changed any other settings, I've restarted several times, and also gone back into the licence manager and deauthorised the things I authorised (effectively trying to undo what I'd just done). Another attempt and still the same message, and again after a system restart.

Any advice here? I have the licence for the vst plugin and have done for years now so can't understand why it's doing this. Please help!! Thanks

Do you have PodFarm V1.x? Generation 1.x software will NOT work.as a Cubase plugin though it ist displayed. You have to upgrade to Version 2.x.

I had PODFarm v1.12 along with the (paid) licence that allows me to use it as a vst within Cubase. Upon downloading the latest driver update from Line6 Monkey I noticed that the licence manager section listed my pc and ux2 as unauthorised so I clicked the button to authorise them. Once that was completed I went back to trying to use PodFarm in Cubase to do some more recording (as I had been doing successfully all day up til now) and I got the error message shown in the pic in my original post. I went back to the licence manager and de-authorised the pc and ux2 so they were how I fould them earlier, but still the same error message. Is there any way to roll back a driver installation?

I've also tried downloading the update to Podfarm 2.whatever and it works (partially) in standalone mode but a lot of things are disabled because apparently I don't have a licence, which I thought I did.

All I wanted was to see if I could purchase some more heads or FX and then this update/change has come along and ballsed everything up.

DO you have a "Black Faced" POD Studio or a "Red Faced" Toneport?
