L2m - Does the analog Mix Out Connector include the L6-Link input signal ?
by Ruben40 on 2013-03-27 03:10:31

Hello

I'm interested in a L2M and I want to know, if Mix Out connector of the box also includes the L6-Link input signal.

That means: I have a stagescape mixer and the L2m box is controlled via the L6-Link interface.

I want to use a second analog box with the same signal. Is it possible to use the Mix-Out connector of the L2M ?

Thanks for help

I'm not sure I fully understand your question as you asked it, but I'll take a stab at it and you can clarify anything that I get wrong. All the Stagesource speakers inlcuding L2m have L6 link so they will get the audio signal from the audio from any L6 link device such as a Stagescape mixer or another Stagesource speaker.

So if I do understand your question you are wondering if you send the signal from the Stagescape mixer to the L2M via Line 6 link, could you then go from the audio line outs (just below the line input) to another non-stagesource speaker.  I think the answer would be yes although I would have to check it out, I have the gear to do such a test so I will try it tonight.  There would just be no way to make it turn into a stereo pair, it would just be the same signal.

Correct ... the mix out contains all the information that is fed into the speaker system

Then I must have missed something in my setup.  I assumed this would be the case but in practice it didn't work.  Here is what I tried.  M20d L6 out to L3t.  L3t to second L3t via Line 6 link. Second L3t from the Mix out (tried the loop through out as well) the the input on a Yamaha DXR 10 powered speaker.  I got sound from both L3t's nothing from the DXR 10.  I think if I went from the main out of the M20d to the input of the L3ts then from one of those to the Yamaha DXR10 I would get sound, but I don't think that was the question.  SO I couldn't get it to work from the L6 Link... doesn't mean it isn't possible but I don't know what I might be doing wrong.
