Hi,

This link should explain the promo offer for the free FBV Express MKII Foot Controller:

http://line6.com/news/offers/1003

Once you have the FBV Express MKII, you can connect the Spider IV to your computer using the pedal and download the Spider FX Infusion update:

"A total of 56 FX Models, bringing the total in your updated amp to 76! (All the FX from Spider FX Infusion 1.52 plus 28 more Stomps, Comps, Mods, Delays, Reverbs and Wahs)"

http://line6.com/software/

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

I hope the question doesn't sound stupid, but this a better safe than sorry question: I just actually received my free MkII express pedal, but after seeing the videos was considering selling it unused and upgrading to the shortboard. Is the tone download specifically linked to my account, meaning that I can use an FBV other than the one I was shipped?  Or are the tone downloads linked to that specific FBV express somehow?

Thanks and Happy Holidays,

Craig

You can use any MKII Pedal, I have the same amp and upgraded to the Shortboard I ordered mine from Sweetwater, in short you are not tied that pedal.
