Stock speaker specs of Lowdown Studio 110.

Hi! I would like to find out the specs of the speaker inside the Lowdown Studio 110. What is the ohm and wattage of the stock speaker in it?

Hi,

The LowDown Studio 110 uses an 8 ohm 75w Eminence speaker similar to the ones listed here:

Thanks,

Thanks David!

I did not see any 8 ohm Eminence bass speaker with a output rating of 75w from your link.

I also understand from a review of the studio 110 in the latest edition of bass player magazine UK, that the studio 110 has a power rating of 75w at 4 ohm.

Would you like to advise more on the usage of the stock 8 ohm driver with an amp that has a 4 ohm max output?

Thank you!

Jimmy

Hi,

I believe that bass magazine review information is not correct; can you drop a link to that for us?

The output transformer load is 8 ohms. The internal speaker is a matched 8 ohm 10" speaker that is rated to handle 75 watts.

Hi Perry,

This is the link to the edition of the mag. Do look out for the review of the lowdown studio 110.

Thanks, I tried going through the content of that link, but couldn't access the review pertaining to the LowDown for some reason.

The fact remains that the internal speaker of the LD Studio 110 is an 8 ohm 10" speaker rated @ 75 watts. I confirmed this with a service technician personally.

So the power rating of this combo is roughly 40 watts RMS something Line6 fail to mention. although other are many factors to amplitude other than wattage.

As the cabinet, speaker and amp are all designed to work at their maximum, I think the better choise is repair the original speaker (line 6 custom design, model: P-06100001B-X2)

I had a distortion problem at low frequencies so it need a repairment. If you put another speaker, the sound will change because this set is getting the best of all the parts.

And even is more cheaper! IF it's well done then you have again your lowdown 110 working for a long time.

You have to remember to not use it at max vol (just 3/4 or less is ok) and to use it regularly. The cone can be damaged for high heat or no use of the amp.

I hope it helps.
