Someone have Jtv-59 without any trouble.
by lucasulliam on 2011-06-07 07:42:14

Hello, Let's change the question.

A lot of people here complain about the troubles about the JTV-59. I wanna know how many people here buy the JTV-59, and don't have any trouble with the guitar. How many of you have a JTV-59 guitar and this work perfectly without any problems.

Thank you

Just got my Jtv-59 Saturday, and so far no problems,  I have used it for about 15 to 20 hrs.

I've had mine about two months now. I have averaged four gigs a week on it. So far the only problem I'm having is that the labels are wearing off the model selector knob.

I have had my 59 for 6 months now and have had no issues with it, as a matter of fact

Since I bought this guitar I have given away my fender strat not played the Gibson and my Taylor

12 string is a dust collecting tool. I love the versatility and the tone

Just some background on me I am not a professional I do play in a praise

Band we practice once a week and I pick up my guitar at least twice a week

To relieve stress

I've had mine for over a year, nearly 2... no issues.

idem, over a year, no issue. I don't use the switch very often (the switch to change kind of guitar which had a lot of problem on JTV59)

because i use my JTV59 with the pod HD500 and have a patch for each song with a guitar selected and memorized.

I have a 59 and a 69.  I love them both and haven't had any issues with either. Going on over a year with the 69 and 2 months with the 59. These guitars have allowed me to sell 4 other guitars. I love them.

I've had my JTV-59 TS since May 2012 not a single issue. I use the pickup selector, model knob, tuning knob, every day no issues at all. I bought a spare  battery I always have a fresh one in there anytime I pick it up. I've sold two guitars this past year since I've had it.

I've had my 59 for about a week, so far so good, lol! I'm hoping it will be as good as my 69 which has been flawless for a year and a half.

BTW, I'm surprised at how good a guitar my 59 is. The workmanship is excellent, it plays like a dream, the mag pickups and modeling sound great.

I've had both a JTV-59 and 69 for over a year now and luckily (?) my only problem is wanting a JTV-69S.

I can understand why you ask. There have been many issues listed here on problems related (i think) to QA at line 6's manufacturing plant, but I have been advised that this is the place where most of the issues on these guitars would be talked about. That dog really doesnt hunt for me, but it works for some here. In any case I agree there are more unbroken functional Variax JTV59's and 69's (mine included) than there are broken ones, even if I think the percentages shown here are too high... YMMV...
