Using a POD HD outside of the UK
by jvelard on 2011-07-30 13:33:10

Hello,

I am bringing over a Pod HD I purchased in the UK to the US. If I purchase the appropriate US power supply from you guys, is there a tranformer for the US built into it? That is, will it work just the same if I have the appropriate power supply? Please advise. Thanks!

JV

The HD series PSUs are multi-region, so they'll do 120V/230V 50/60Hz. Assuming the PSU design is the same as mine (I had a beta) you can unclip the UK plug adapter and it will be a US socket underneath! No purchase necessary.

It's a one-size-fits-all transformer right out of the box.

I bought mine in the UK and the PSU came with swappable plugs for US, UK and Euro power points. I use the Euro one. As I live in Spain I use the latter, and it works fine.
