Line 6 when will my 2x12 extension cabinet be ready?
by daveschutt on 2011-09-13 07:14:19

This is a request, and I've already put in a feature request but maybe if we can get a little popular opinion here it might move things along!  I have a DT-50 Head and I'd really like a Line6 product.  I play some relatively high profile gigs and I'd rather have a Line 6 cabinet than promote another manufacturer's gear.  Most no-gutiar players will associate the logo on your cabinet as the source of your tone.  Anyway I don't think it would be a major undertaking, heck they can use the templates from the old Vetta II extension cabinets.  I think they even had the same speaker configuration.

I don't need a 4x12 and I didn't want a combo so please help a guy out here Line 6 please!

a few of the experts buit their own using the avatar cabinets.

i think they even tried replicating the dt50 412 drivers, but at least one that i know of found drivers they prefferred.

i have a 2x12 crate (i know... i know...) cab that has the logo removed that i use for some things....

haven't gotten around to changing out the drivers in it... because i have the combo and use the cab rarely...

but they sell the cab logos via the web store contemplated using one to turn my unbrabded crate cab into an L6 logo'd cab for much the same reason... meaning 80% of my tone is L6 anyway...

Hi Dave... actually, it's the other way around, to be honest. Posting a thread here where us Moderators primarily operate and generating discussion amongst users is not as compelling as the number of Feature Requests to the actual Product Development team. But you're free to do so; just thought I'd give you a heads up, though.

The Forums here are to assist users with currently release products and their inherent features as is. I totally agree with everything you've mentioned about a 2 x 12, but those who have the ability to make product change/new product decisions aren't here on the user forums. The Product Dev team receives every request input from this portal: http://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/

(it's the number of requests from there that really generates compelling evidence in the form of numbers to them indicating there truly are "x number" of folks requesting a new product change or design).

I meant this post to help generate people to take 2 seconds to fill out the product request and get to that magic X number where they might make the cabinet.

Hey daveschutt,

Thank you for expressing your concern for a DT50 2x12 extension cabinet and submitting a feature request to our developers.

Hopefully other users feel the same way and have also submitted a feature request to our developers.

I bought a Vetta II 2x12 extension cabinet on eBay for $200 a few months ago.  It had two G12H90's in it.  I replaced one with a V30...planning on closing the back, but haven't got around to it, yet.

They do pop up occasionally...

Funny you mention that, I bought a Vetta cabinet too about a month ago.  Not sure if it's a I or II (anyone know the difference)  I plan on doing the same as you, putting in a V30.  Might fashion a velcro or some type of removable closure for the back.  One thing I'm a bit perplexed about is that it is a stereo cabinet.  How are you connecting your head to it?
