when I go to download tones using Line 6 Edit, I get a java error message and can't download anything
by peterandjuralove on 2011-12-28 20:42:34

Here's what I'm using:  Pod xt Pro v3.02, 27"imac 2.93GHz Intel Core i7 OS X v 10.6.8

I get the following error message whenever I try to go online to download tones using Line 6 Edit.

Any clues?

Here's the error message:

An exception was caught.

the easiest way to avoid java with an XT is to use gearbox instead of line6 edit.

you may need to reinstall gearbox to set your file associations.

+1 to Zap,

At this point, I would suggest giving Gearbox a try:

http://line6.com/software/index.html

Gearbox">http://line6.com/software/index.html">http://line6.com/software/index.html

Gearboxis not JAVA based so you should be able to save and load your tones using that application.

Thanks,

David
