PodHD 400 Loud Burst
by jackalope123 on 2012-01-10 19:12:57

I have been been having loud burst while playing through my PodHD 400. I am running the latest updates from Line 6. As I play thing sound good but then it suddenly has a BIG burst of sound and becomes distorted. I tried changing patches but that does not seem to help. Unplugged, then plugged back in, but again no help. Checked different cables, same problem.

I just got this pedal back from the mainland(I live in Hawaii) because of the volume pedal and don't want to have to pay to send this back again. They just sent me a replacement pod.

Anyone got and ideals on how to fix this?

Please try this: first, run Line 6 Monkey. If you've got 1.50 installed, let's roll you back to 1.43.

Monkey 1.43 Installer Windows:

Monkey1.43 Installer Mac:

http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4222

Whatwe're doing here is to revert your Monkey software to the previous version. If you see a message appear saying there's a newer version of Monkey (would you like to update?) please CANCEL/disregard.

Once you have Monkey 1.43 installed, connect your HD400 via USB and select the Flash Memory component in the Updates list and "Reinstall Latest".

Please don't forget to do a Reset after the Monkey re-flash. What I mean by this is the HD400 reset, outlined here: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2043

Re-testyour device. That symptom should not re-occur.

I would suggest that you update/reinstall the latest flash memory into the POD using the instructions at the link below:

Onceyou have completed that, make sure and go through a expression pedal calibration as well:
