Lincoln Brewster tones delivered in 2.02?
by daveschutt on 2012-04-04 08:04:33

Lincoln Brewster reported on his Twitter account a few months back that he was working on some tones to be delivered on a new HD500 update.  I was curious if this happened and if so which tones are they?  If they have a clever name I guess I'm not clever enough to figure it out.

He may have been talking about this: http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/">http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/">http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/

I'm not sure if Sweetwater has all those presets available as download anywhere or not. Someone who bought the HD Pro from Sweetwater could probably put them up for people.

I saw that Sweetwater exclusive for Pro buyers too. Supposedly ONLY From Sweetwater

"When you get your POD HD Pro from Sweetwater, you also get exclusive presets from eight renowned guitarists. These presets span all kinds of styles and genres"

There are only 4 LBs presets;

2 named Linc Blues, Linch Crunch and AC15 MM. sound samples at

http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/">http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/">http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/podhdpro/

would be nice for a Sweetwater Pro buyer to share with us either here or on customtone.

I suppose one of us should start a new topic here on this forum and maybe also on the HD GROUP forum requesting a Sweetwater HD Pro buyer to be so kind as to make a zip file, upload it and share with us here or upload to customtone. Keep bumping it until one thoughtful Sweetwater HD Pro owner responds. Maybe this unknown person will come here searching for support answers and see our appeal and contribute his lion's share. I doubt that Sweetwater has any negative repercussions to inflict or an exclusive contract agreement about distributing presets once an item is bought and paid for.

Who wants to start a new thread? We can all keep bumping it to the top till we get a friendly donor.

I have to vent a little and voice my opinion.  I like LB-his music, his guitar playing, his tone and generally his helping out other musicians recreate his music for P&W.  I bought his 2 DVD's which are very good and he mentioned that the next volume would be on tone.  It's been almost 3 years and nothing. He did some clinics (not in my area) and said that he was working on his tones with the HD which he was using live and would post them on his website.  Well if I was holding my breath I'd be dead by now.  Now I've listened to the 3 tones on the Sweetwater website and I have to say there not representing the tones he uses live or recorded. They sound like something he just whipped up ad sent out to Sweetwater.  Does he owe me anything? No  Is he a busy guy? I'm sure.  It just bothers me when someone, anyone, promises something and doesn't deliver.  Best not to say or promise anything and then surprise people.  Because of him Line6 has sold a lot of merchandise and they know their stuff is widely used in P&W settings so it would be nice if they'd reach out and/or create some patches especially for us musicians in that genre.  Heck throw a few banks of Hillsong, LB, or other P&W tone monsters in their Styles setlist.  We're not all metalheads you know...
