Cannot Get KB37 Working With Win7 64 Bit - Error -997
by NOVAkILL on 2012-05-28 17:59:54

The title says it all. I have tried installing my KB37 drivers using both GearBox and POD Farm but I continue to get the same error message when my VST host application - Synapse Audio Orion - tries to start the ASIO drivers. My other ASIO devices work properly, at this stage it is just the KB37 that is having trouble. I notced an announcement for new drivers but the link gives a 404 error. My computer specs are -

Asus Zenbook UX21

Core i7 CPU

4Gb RAM

Win7 Home Pemium 64bit SP1

I was having other, unrelated problems so I have just freshly wiped the drive and started again, so I really don't have much stuff installed beyond what I need for music. We have a gig in a couple of weeks and I would really like to get the KB37 working before then. I can still use it as a MIDI controller, so we can practice/rehearse OK, but I don't want to have to rely on ASIO4all on stage and we normally use GearBox for vocal effects (POD Farm is still useless for KB37).

Thanks for the links but even with the latest drivers I am still getting the same -997 error as before. There is nothing wierd about my configuration, it is just a bog-standard laptop.

Did you try different USB ports?

You can open a support ticket to deal with Line6 one  on one.

Moving it to the other USB port has solved the problem. It is not a solution that fills me with confidence but it does seem quite robust now. I had it plugged into the USB 3 socket, so maybe there was a problem with that, even though USB 3 is supposed to be backwards-compatible.
