Should I be looking at getting a power conditioner to protect my expensive investment?

Well, should I ? Playing in lots of different venues, some the electrics are very old.

Ones that actually work well are expensive (e.g. surgex).

A UPS supply is always a good add-on for a computer like device however. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply

Yes, if there is a loose neutral conductor somewhere in the venue there can be extra voltage thrown around to other circuits. I had a synth module that malfunctioned with bad sounds at one the venues and then sounded perfect at home. So I decided to invest in a voltage regulator and I bought a used Furman AR-1215 line voltage regulator/power conditioner and now I use it every time I power on my M20d and other gear - everything sounds great and I am not afraid to play out.
