FBV Express (MKI) compatable with POD HD Bean ?
by sifi2112 on 2012-10-09 01:07:37

Hi all, I've been offered a  FBV Express pedal but I think it's the 1st version (not MKII) my question is = is it compatable with my POD HD Bean (desktop) ? Or would I be better getting the MKII version ?

thanks

Simon

works the same... the difference is a usb port you wont use with the pod HD.

Thanks for the reply tho not totally sure I understand ... so basically it will (should) work (via RJ-45 cable) but no usb so not able to download any (if required) updates ? I've read that some guys have had problems & have been advised to 'update' their MKII's but will I encounter any problems with this MKI & if there's no usb then how do you remedy any possible issues ?

Does anyone actually use it the MKI version ? I can't find any info on it (no manual on here either)

Sorry if I sound a bit 'dumb' but this is all a bit new to new ... very impressed with my HD bean tho !

you'd download updates to the pod hd using the usb on it...

all the FBV's are simply dumb controllers...

the MKII versions with the usb, allow you to use the dumb controller to control software on your computer such as pod farm or your recording software.... NOTHING to do with it's ability to control the pods/amps

I do know of people of the forums using the MK1's...
