What's the difference between JTV69 et JTV69s
by kisscool82 on 2012-11-22 05:31:13

Hi !

I'd like to buy a JTV69, but I can't find the differnce between JTV69 and the JTV69s.

The pickups are differents : bridge humbucker and single-coil pickups. But what else ? When I look in specs, I can't see anything else.

Thx.

The pickups (really only the brudge pickup) and the finishes available are the only differences.

Does the bridge pickup sound different with the guitar models ?

Thank you for your answer.

No, the magnetic pickups will only make a difference when using the guitar in mag pickup mode.  All of the modeling is done through the piezo pickups in the bridge.  The mags have no effect on the modeling at all

I would imagine that Line 6 released the 69s because some folks prefer the 3 single coil strat-type configuration for both more classic esthetics and sound.  Some of us (like me) prefer the HSS "fat strat" config.  Now Line 6 can offer both
