Mobile POD is the worst thing developed by Line 6
by gbattag on 2012-11-30 17:09:26

i'm a huge fan of Line 6 product but mobile Pod is really terrible! No background audio like peavey ampkit or recording tools like amplitube. Can't use tones with Garage Band or any other DAW app. What am I supposed to do with mobile in? Use it in studio instead of my HD500 ?! C'mon guys you've made a very bad job with this product. And I've wasted my money.

It's a real shame line6 haven't done anything over the last year to improve/add real creative functionality to software.  Other program's have basic ability to record and copy/paste audio so it's not as if the writers have to reinvent the wheel!  It could be a really good product but judging by the complete lack of response from line6 on any of the requests to add the ability to interact with other products, IMO they aren't even bothered.

Hopefully they may make it audiobus compatible, not holding my breath though.

they did come up with a deal with jammit that is pretty cool... worth checking out...

Tried jammit, very good if you want to pay to play along with existing artists music.

There is no useable way of using it to create your own ideas and play along with them.  I would pay extra for a simple 4 track recorder that enabled full use of the mobile pod app.

WOW!

I was going to purchase a mobile in kit for my new ipad 4 from xmas until I read so many users bad experiences. I have owned ( still do) many line 6 devices. It's a real shame they blew this thing and disappointed so many of there customers. If you cannot use the sounds in garage band or any multi app when recording then what's the point? As I read on this forum earlier that a line 6 guy claims its better sound quality, so if you can't record then what's the point of having better sound you cannot use? Just crazy. I expected more from this company.

Line 6, you have forced me to purchase your competitions product. ( A very bad business model indeed).

Agree, even the most basic function to lower volume of the song you play along to so you can actually hear your guitar is missing.

Line 6 has lost so many sales to the competition already it is a real shame. After the original Rockman came out and created/ owned this guitar processing area they got complacent then outta nowhere line 6 came out and creamed them. Line 6 has pretty much owned the guitar tone industry until recently as they have failed to properly acknowledge the IOS / Android revolution. I have owned so much Line 6 Hardware and software gear over the years but for IOS I bought everything but!

This is your wake up call lline 6, when your present customers start seriously checking out the competition you can forget about getting new ones as this means the ship is starting to sink. Samplitube and its new HDirig will likely win this mobile recording war not because they are better but simply because Line 6 has become weak and complacent. With Samplitube I can already record my guitar tones / cut/ paste and multitrack record etc. on IOS and with the new HDirig coming in a months time it's games over. Line 6 2013 is like Kodak around 2005.

Is a damn same!
