Switch sticking on FBV Shortboard MkII
on 2013-01-28 12:52:37
I bought the FBV Shortboard MkII to go with my Spider IV 150 on 7 December 2011 and I now have a critical problem with the stomp switch I use most - the patch selected marked 'A', bottom left. Basically it has started to become erratic as to whether it toggles or not - sometimes I stomp, and it works, but every other time I stomp, the switch does not operate.
I have a gig coming up in March so obviously I want to fix it before then as it can completely throw me out when changing patches mid-song as I did during rehearsal last night....
Can anyone help? Is this a common problem? Any simple fixes (I know how to use a soldering iron...)? Is it a Line 6 Repair Only job, in which case how am I going to get it fixed before March?
Any advice gratefully appreciated (think I have posted in the right forum, but apologies if not...)

Sorry you are having problems at this critical time
As you know, your warranty has now expired on the controller. You can certaintly try opening up the controller and seeing if there is something simple you can fix - it could be an electrical or mechanical issue.
You can find the closest factory-authorized service center to you at this link: http://line6.com/service_centers/
The information above may not be current, and you should direct questions to the current forum or review the manual.
