HD500 - 4CM into a serial effects loop - balancing volume
by thindave on 2013-03-04 19:12:15

Hey all, I'm looking to use my HD500 with my Suhr Badger 30 which has a serial effects loop. I find that just connecting the POD to the amp using the 4CM (with no effects set with the output set to studio/direct), I get a pretty noticiable volume drop as compared to just plugging the guitar intot he front of the amp.  I have the outs set to line level and the master is set at 100%.

Is there a recommended way to balance the volume?

Thanks,

Dave

Have you worked your way through the setup here yet -->  http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2522">http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2522">http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2522?  If not, it is worth doing so because there are some level drops that need to be compensated for, mainly around the input, that can cause the tone to sound quiet and/or thin.

Try this first (if you have not already) then  come back if you still have an issue.
