I am currently playing an Ibanez Prestige 2204NMG. The neck and middle pickups are single coil and the bridge humbucker can be split.

I had the same issue playing my 1991 American Standard Stratocaster.  Maybe it is the reverb choice? I don't know but any advise would be greatly appreciated.

My covers band does a number the singer struggles with, and I'm looking to find out the best way to incorporate a whole tone drop to ease the problem. If played around with the Capo thing but it totally eats the DSP. 

Are there any suggestion of how I can get around this without sacrificing my normal tones?

How would you dial in this tone? The original poster said that an ocatver, fuzz and chorus, but mine always ends up sounding muddy and muffled.
 

Having said that I am struggling to create any usable tone out of the HX Stomp when I connect my Acoustic which has a passive soundhole pickup (Fishman Neo-D Humbucking). I tried everything from increasing the impedance, adding a gain block and/or preamp block. It just sounds very quiet. I wonder if this type of pickup would even work well with the Stomp. Is anyone out there who can kindly offer some advice?

I have for quite some time Line6 HX stomp XL , and since it has only one input for extern exp or control pedal , (and at this moment is my expression pedal connected to the input ), is my question if it's possible to use a Paint audio captain duo pedal through midi for changing the bank presets?.

Ive been using My Helix line 6 LT for a over a year but without doing anything fancy with it.

I feel like Im starting my journey now so as a first step Im writing my first post here.

I specificlly came here cause Im trying to recreate a sound I heard from a guitarist named Jimi James from the Delvon Lamar organ trio.

Any suggestions where to post about this preset?

I loaded a patch and saw that there are two paths?

There are an amp and IR and when I follow the path it ends up with "Path A2"

Then there is a line below starting with "None" instead of "Guitar" as above. 

And a new chain of amp and IR . It ends up with "Multi"

I do not understand these paths. 

Why two path? And how are they connected? I do not believe that there are two amps and cab in serial ..

Reference: Dan Croll - Always Like This  (the guitar lead at around 1:20).

I don't have a Fender Gtr (using a Schecter at the moment), going direct-in into my DAW with the Helix LT.

I am aware that I will not be able to match this tone with the configuration that I have, but figured I'd ask how to get something similar at least...?

Anyone have any tips?

So I have stuck with the Helix in front of the amp, and sound wise it does exactly what i need. BUT, i cannot get any of the methods of boosting volume or gain to work for solos. I have tried every method, but only get a boost of probably 1-2 db even when i have it maxed out on +12db. I have tried different positions, different techniqes (e.g. ouput level increase, EQ, gain pedal, clean boost model) but NOTHING seems to work. I have tried a clean boost in the Helix FX loop - still doesnt work as it should.

The only way i can get a boost with the helix in front of the amp, is to put an external boost pedal in the amp's effects loop. But then this means tap dancing when i do a solo (to hit my solo snapshot on helix AND the external pedal) which the whole point for me of having a helix was to prevent tap dancing.

This has been driving me mad for months. Can anyone please please help?

The reason for this question is that I plugged my guitar into a friend's GT-1000 in the studio yesterday to save time and it sounded great!!  He said, "you need to get a BOSS", I replied "No, I love my Helix and I could make it sound exactly like that or better."

It's a long shot, but I thought I would ask anyway. :)

The best suggestion I have got so far in my search was actually when I tried with AI and asked Google Gemini. The answer was surprisingly detailed. See attached text file. I tried creating the preset from the description and even if it had a great fuzz sound, it wasn't sounding anything like the NG-2. But with some tweaking, it might be as close as it gets on the Helix.

Does anyone dare to take the challenge? :)

I new with the Helix but I still tried to create some Muse tones without any luck.

Are there any Muse patches ?

I know that there is the "plug in baby" patch but I think it's sounds more like a "toy patch" than a Muse patch.

And I also tried to search on the Forum+Customtone sections. Didn't find anything.

I know that there is the Fuzz Factory pedal which is big part of Muse tone, but I'm more looking for the Amps sound of Muse.

I have a patch that begins with Poly Capo. What I'm trying to do is have 2 stomp switches control it (without using a snapshot, the block is snapshot bypass). Switch One I'd like to have set to bypass as well as the "interval" at a certain setting (-1) and the second switch the same thing but the interval set at -2.

I can easily do this with one switch bypassing the block and using interval set to -1, but how do I assign the second switch to interval -2 without disabling the assignment of the first? I do things like this all the time with snapshots, but for this patch I need it to be stomp-controllable.

I'm after a few specific tones from my stomp to complement a live stage show I'm putting together.

Problem is I have no experience with sculpting tones etc and I hear the basic bass presets are a bit 'meh'

I need the following tones, does anybody have anything saved they'd share?  

Any help/advice highly appreciated!

Tones I need

Blues tone     think Pino tone on Joyhn Mayer stuff

Funk tone      something to liven up tracks like uptown funk, treasure or superstition 

80's pop        no idea where to even start....

Flea tone        Some chili's tracks to go at, thought go with a funk tune but he's got more rock influence in there than normal funk stuff

Killers tone        Some early killers tracks on the table and would love to emulate the tone

I'm currently working on covering Pantera's Cemetery Gates live, and one thing I'm struggling with is the harmonics at the end of the song.

This is what I mean for people who don't know the song:

I know that this can be achieved with proper technique, but I haven't been able to reliably do this just with a high gain tone, and I don't have the time or motivation to make it work this way. So, I'd like to fake it with the HX Stomp :)

Basically, I think what would serve me best is a two octave up pitch shifter, along with infinite sustain. So far I got the best results with the new "Feedbacker" effect (really cool BTW!), but it is a bit difficult to control, as it seems to be aimed towards emulating a constant speaker feedback rather than a moving note.

Just a general discussion, what amps would you like to see added to the helix? I would love to see the mesa badlander, vht pitbull, rivera knucklehead, and the randall diavlo and or thrasher. Maybe even the fortin evil pumpkin if possible.  Idk just wanted to get some ideas out there incase anyone in development looks at these.

Been playing tubes since the beginning of my guitar journey, but I recently bought a Catalyst 200 as I was very shocked with the tones and feel of this amp.

Price was good, too.

I liked the fact taht it was a simple amp...didnt' have 1,000,000 options like the Spider line or other modellers I've played with.

However, I have come to hate it's limitations...namely the inability to change boost pedals (only get the one per amp that they hardwired) and the inability to have more than 1 effect and 1 reverb at any given time.

This has led me down teh rabbit hole of considering adding/changing my setup.

I've considered the Fender Mustang GTX100, but also have been thinking about the Helix offerings available that I could use WITH my Catalyst.  I really like the idea of more amp models and a few more options for effects if needed.

I'm not too up to date on the helix offerings, but I don't want to spend 1500.00 either.  As such, I've been thinking about the Helix Stomp. Would adding this to my rig allow me to run more amp types and more effects, or are the limitations similar?

The one thing I like about the Mustang is the ability to have about 33 different amp types and run multiple effects at once. However, I THINK the Catalyst has the better tone.  Is Helix the answer here, or should I go back to tube amps?
