<p>
	Hello folks.  Struggling to get a tone I'm happy with from the HX Stomp. My absolute go-to tone comes from my Spider Valve 112 (MkI) - specifically the "Amber LED" setting of the Metal preset.  The manual describes it as follows:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<em>"This Amp Model is based on the Mesa/Boogie® Dual Rectifier®. For Spider Valve, we made careful enhancements to this classic tone. The resulting Amp Model has a definite modern flavor. This monster truck of tone delivers a tight bottom end that’s big, powerful, tight and fast. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound."</em>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	They really must have dialed that sucker in because I've never gotten something that was both as "warm" and "tight" as this.  Any and all input is welcome, and thanks!

	This is the first preset I've made using POD Express Edit, and my signal is going through the line-in of a Bugera Infinium G5 amp and a Celestion 1x12, so please keep that in mind. This is my initial pass at Hetfield's Master of Puppets (song) tone. I'm on a B.C. Rich Warlock with DiMarzio pickups (D Activator at neck, Super Distortion at bridge). It was a lot of fun, I'm still working on the clean and Hammett tones. Please offer any suggestions you have, I am a beginner.

<p>
	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	I am new to the Line 6 Helix family.  While it took a hot minute to figure out much about the new Helix Stadium Floor, I really like it a lot!
</p>

<p>
	I come from having a Fractal FM9 for 3 years.  Although I had dialed in some very nice tones for live play, I finally got so frustrated when needing to tweak things through the hardware, that I sold it and got the Helix Stadium.  (I think Fractal expects you to have a computer programming degree, and that's just not my thing)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So, I had created a number of clean and dirty tones to use live, and I think, for the most part, things sounded good.
</p>

<p>
	One of my favorites, was a close "copy" of Kfir Ochaion from YouTube. Kfir is super talented and he plays the main melody to karaoke, or backing tracks of popular songs.  Well, after my band broke up, that's what I started doing and now play solo gigs around town and having a blast!
</p>

<p>
	However, I can't seem to find the right way to dial in one of his tones.
</p>

<p>
	If anyone can help me, I'd be willing to pay for the help.  Here is a link to Kfir playing "Careless Whisper" with a metal tone, but it is so crisp, yet airy, with plenty of drive, but not at all grainy or overly distorted.  This tone would fit for so many songs I play, and I really want to get it close.
</p>

	</div>
</div>

<p>
	Please let me know if you can help and we can discuss details.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks much,
</p>

	Kory

<p>
	Hi all,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Bit of a rookie question but are there any presets that I can download that would be just a series of 8 commonly used stompboxes (reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger e.t.c) that I could then run through my amp (Marshall JVM) to colour the sound and where should I look for them? Basically, I want to be using the amps usual channels and having the Helix act like a standard pedalboard.  I know I need to set the LT up via the four cable method for this but where on the LT can you select for 8 stomp mode? (I can only seem to find 8 snapshots/presets and a combination of stomp/snap)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks

<p>
	The Helix Stomp has a massive list of effects and I'm hoping to emulate my acoustic guitar pedalboard but have come 'stuck' regarding an Octaver.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My pedalboard is ToneDexter (IR) -&gt; Diamond Comp (Optical Compressor) -&gt; Para EQ (parametric EQ) -&gt; Boss OC3 (Octaver) -&gt; TC Delay (Slapback Delay) -&gt; Hall Reverb.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	All of this seems possible in the HX stomp (IR -&gt; Comp -&gt; Parametric EQ etc.) <u>but not with the Octaver</u>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The Boss OC3 has a 'filter' knob so that the octave signal can be applied <u>only to the E and A strings</u>, for example. The Helix has a 'Boctaver' based on the OC2 that DOES NOT HAVE a fliter. (*Essentially the 'filter' on the OC3 and OC5 was a game changer for acoustic guitar players, whereas the OC2 has little value for acoustic players)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	How can I set up a Helix stomp so that the Octave effect is <u>ONLY applied to low E and A strings</u> on an acoustic guitar? And how could I output a 'mixed' signal of 6 strings of 'normal' acoustic guitar, plus with the added Octave below on the E and A strings?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks for any help or insight anyone can offer.

<p><br>I've read that the pre-amps in HD500 are the best to use with DT50 and DT25, so I've put a setlist together with all of the pres as a baseline for my patch creation. The problem I encountered was that the volumes varied WILDLY and I kept blowing up my ears going from the quietest amp (Hiway-100 apparently) and a Treadplate for example. Of course one amp is louder than the other, but for home use, or testing, having these patches be leveled is a must<br><br>So I've gone through and leveled out (with the MIXER setting) all 30 of the pre amps to be very roughly the same loudness. There is definitely some variance. If anyone cares to correct them more properly, please do so and post the update.<br><br>In this setlist, Hiway-100 is the quietest amp- I have the db setting on the mixer maxed, so I used that setting as the baseline for loudness of all the other amps. Very unscientific, but now I don't get ringing ears if I'm switching between.<br><br>Hope this helps.</p>

	I’ve been experimenting with different Line 6 gear and presets, but I’m still struggling to dial in a tone that feels both modern and clear—especially for layered guitar parts. Some presets sound great at low volume but get muddy when I turn up, while others cut through the mix but lose warmth <span style="font-size:8px;"><a href="https://www.ez-passmaineturnpike.com" rel="external nofollow"><span style="color:#ffffff;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">EZPassME login</span></span></a></span>

<p>
	For those of you who’ve mastered your Line 6 setups (AMPLIFi, Helix, POD Go, etc.), what specific approaches or settings helped you achieve a balanced, articulate tone?
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Do you start with factory presets or build from scratch?
	</li>
	<li>
		Any EQ or cab/IR tips that made a big difference?
	</li>
	<li>
		How do you keep high‑gain tones tight without sounding harsh?
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	I’d love to hear your workflow, favorite tricks, or even example settings that helped you get the sound you wanted.

	I play rhythm guitar in a Grateful Dead cover band and I have struggled to find a good tone.  I am playing a Bob Weir signature D'Angelico solid body through a flat-response speaker and have the HK Stomp for tone modelling.  I want a clean, bright, full, mid-heavy tone that will cut through the band without stepping on the bass or lead.  I have tried many of the presets and I haven't found any that I felt really worked.  Many of them sound fine for playing individual notes, but we have no keyboard player in our band so I spend a lot of time playing chords, and when you play a chord the tones I have tried get muddy and twangy.  I have found that for a lot of the presets - they work well for single notes but sound much less convincing for chords.  Does anybody have a preset to suggest for me to work from, or any general advice on how to get a clean, bright tone for chords?

<p>
	If you're wondering whether you can load your old POD 2.0 .L6T presets onto a PODxt Live using the Line 6 Edit software, the answer is yes—with limitations. Both the POD 2.0 and PODxt Live use .L6T files, but the compatibility isn't always seamless due to differences in hardware architecture and amp modeling capabilities between the two units.     <span style="font-size:8px;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;"><a href="https://www.catmeowsounds.com" rel="external nofollow">CatMeowSounds App</a></span></span>
</p>

<p>
	PODxt Live is a more advanced device with additional amp models and features that aren't present in the original POD 2.0. While Line 6 Edit can import .L6T files, presets created for POD 2.0 may not sound identical on the PODxt Live. Some parameters might be interpreted differently, and effects routing or amp models may need manual tweaking after import

	Hey guys, I recently bought a v Moda Crossfade 2. Love it, but want more oomph. I never owned an amp/cad before. So I’m lost. Sound quality and clarity are most important to me. I’m looking in the $200-$350 price range. What do you guys recommend?    <span style="color:#ffffff;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;"><a href="https://www-tollsbymailny.com" rel="external nofollow">TollsByMailNY</a></span></span></span>

<p>
	Hello,I have one problem and I don’t know how to solve it .
</p>

<p>
	have helix LT which is awesome device and Iam overwhelmed with options and opportunities BUT let me explain  you something…  okay we are starting <span>:</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>I run hybrid board with helix ,real amp cab and of course my precious  real pedals, I use helix both ways :1)I run my real pedalboard into fxloops and use it as block in the patches which is cool , problem is my dirt pedals dont sound that “Alive” through the fxloops, something is off especially with guitar and less off with bass( Im mostly playing bass guitar ) .</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>2) I use helix into amps fxloop as additional modulation/synths platform or use effects on Helix and just bypassing my real amp and use ampsims from helix .</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span>my question is -can I route my signal that way where I can switch between “helix main Center with real pedalboard as block in the patch”  and “ helix supporting device / helix effects with sims” just w/ one footclick to put my pedals from helix fxloop into amp and back ? It seems that regular ABY switch won’t help me or am I wrong ? <br />
	Some of  you guys have maybe routing guide how to do it ? Or did it before ? Have something to share ?</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span>please !</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span>Thank  you </span>

	I'm new to modeling amps, effects HW, and tones. I have a Amplifi TT and Spider V 60 MKII and a PowerCab and looking for some guidance.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	When creating my own tones, or modifying presets, or downloads, what's the recommended order or signal flow, if any. I've seen "recommendations" on the web from trusted sources like Sweetwater below that say:
</p>

<ul style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#424242;font-size:14px;padding:0px 0px 0px 20px;">
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Filters and EQ</strong><span> </span>— wah, auto-wah, graphic, and parametric EQ
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Compressor</strong><span> </span>— FET, opto, VCA, tube, or digital
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Boost</strong><span> </span>— clean boost and/or buffer
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Gain</strong><span> </span>— overdrive, distortion, fuzz, etc.
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Noise Gate</strong><span> </span>— placed at this point in the signal chain because gain pedals are usually the noisiest
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Volume Pedal</strong><span> </span>— placed at this point in the chain to control the level feeding the amp without affecting the amount of input to gain pedals
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Tuner</strong><span> </span>
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Modulation</strong><span> </span>— phase shifter, tremolo, chorus, flanger, rotating speaker simulator, etc.
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Delay</strong><span> </span>— analog, digital, tape, etc.
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<strong>Reverb</strong><span> </span>— hall, room, spring, plate, etc.
	</li>
	<li style="font-size:16px;padding:2px 0px;">
		<span><strong>AMP </strong>(FRFR) </span>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	<span> After all that they say "<strong>experiment</strong>"! </span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<span>But the presets on the Spider and Amplifi TT all vary in signal chain order with the Amp/Cab in various places in the chain.  </span>
</p>

<p>
	So i have no right asking for things since Line 6 has just blessed me out the lollipop with this product over the last several years, but i would love to get some more of the boutique styled amps and im really liking the prospect of that leviathan. What the community out there is really looking at right now? Im definitely a High gain metal guy so thats my obsession. i feel like the effects pool is so big and unique that i could spend forever just there but im loving new cabs and amps. Plus a lot of metal amps still make for good softer tones too. but if anything i would LOVE to see a graphical update in the future. like with the face plates and stuff. it doesn't do anything other make me feel good to look at LOL but i do think there is something to that experience. maybe have a "simple" overlay and a "graphic" one that looks more analog that you can switch between in the global settings IDK i just freaking love this hardware and want more.

	I am currently running my HX stomp into a iPad Pro via usb, then into Bose S1 pro, and need some guidance.

<p>
	My tone sounds very thin, tinny, hollow, when the usb is plugged in. When plugging into my computer or no plug at all, it sounds a lot better. Has anyone else run into this issue? I’ve tried a lot of amps, and cabs (never the combo), and am struggling to get a more full and rich sound. <br />

<p>
	Hey, everyone. First post here!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have a Line 6 Spider V, and I've recently been diving into the world of midwest emo and math rock. I've wanted to get similar tones to Tiny Moving Parts. The album I'd like to get closest to is their "breathe" album (most known song being Medicine). I've checked the shared tones on here in the custom tones thing and none of the ones in there are even remotely close to the songs they're attempting to emulate.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I know compression, pickup switch position, and even pickup type are all important to this sound and have all of that covered, but I just can't wrap my head around the rest of the tone. Has anybody had any luck getting close to TMP's tone at all?
</p>

<p>
	Bank mode is necessary but not sure about the preset mode. If you implement a new mode called "DUAL MODE" which allows you to save two presets in one switch. Click once you get tone A. Next click you get tone E and you get eight different tones per bank. So you dont need to switch between banks which would be helpful for the artists who are using more than four patches in one song.
