Greetings all.
I have an old FBV express with RJ45 interface and was wondering if it would be possible to use it as a GM controller through an Ethernet RJ45 port on the mac mini or through a USB to RJ45 adapter to control software (i.e. software ampsims or daw's)?
I can imagine the protocol itself should be different from a standard ethernet but, is there a way to translate it or map it with some form of patch ou code?

Hi,

there was a thread about this topic here: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/13813

but it is read only now, so I start this new thread to tell you about what I just found out in case anybody has a similar problem.

In my case the Volume pedal did not work. It was simply the connector at the amp-side, one of the spring contacts was a bit twisted an did not make contact.

I fixed it and now it works again :-)

If you open the pedal you can check the two outer pins (left and right) of the connector of the wah/volume-board. At these two pins you should measure about 5 Volts if connected to the Amp.

Hi - I just acquired a FB4 to go with my Pod 1.0. Tap tempo works fine on the Pod but not when I tap on the relevant button on the FB4. Am I doing something wrong? Could it be a cabling issue? or is the FB4 just faulty? thanks in advance....

	Hi,

I have a problem in the floor board that I have temporarily resolved.

The volume of the amp goes down a few seconds after turning on the equipment.

Disconnecting the cable from RJ45 the volume appears again at maximum level.

As I work in electronics, I drew a diagram of the wha/volume board and took some measurements that led me to the conclusion that the photo diode M3 (volume control) was faulty.

I removed the photo diode M2 (wha control) and put it on M3, so now I have the volume but I don't have the wha which I use very little.

My problem now is that I don't know the reference of the photo diode to buy and put it on the M2 to have wha again.

Can anyone help me and provide a part list or schematic of the wha/volume board where I can see the photo diode reference, please?

Just a straightforward question - does the Floorboard work with the early 'kidney bean' Pod 2.0 (pedal socket labeled just 'pedal') or the later version 'kidney bean' Pod 2.0 (pedal socket labeled 'FBV pedal)? Or both? I understand about the use of the FB4 and FBV foot switches and which Pod 2.0 those work with, but I'm interested in what the Floorboard works with.

I received a Floor Pod Plus foot pedal and it did not come with a power supply. I have read that it's best to use a OEM power supply as the aftermarket versions aren't reliable or could cause damage. Does anyone know where to source the 9VAC 2000mah OEM power supply? I don't see any other specs on the back of this machine indicating polarity or plug size.

I have opened up a ticket with L6 and reached out to the local USA distributor as well so if I received any updates I'll post them here for others to see.

	Hello,

I'm looking for the schematics for on older floorboard WITHOUT the wah switch under the pedal. This floorboard has SELECT SOUND for the upper left switch, not CHANNEL SELECT. The serial number is F1-005432. I have an AXSys212 with this floorboard. The AXSys rom version is 1.04 if that has any bearing. The floorboard display and LEDs track all settings on the AXSys front pannel. The wah and volume work fine. But pressing the SELECT SOUND is the same as pressing the TAP Tempo Tuner and pressing any Bank switch gives random results. I replaced all switches in the floorboard and checked for any bridges or opens. Two of the old switches certainly were intermittent. They are now all good. The AXSys interprets a Channel Select as a Tuner press among other things. I need to look at the switch voltage ladder and see where it's giving the wrong voltage to the ADC converter in the amp.

I have the schematics for the later floorboard with the wah switch but there are a couple of wiring differences in the connects (or the schematics are wrong.) One problem is that the voltage divider on mine is markes as the wah switch which I don't have. I makes checking the switch ladder difficult.

I am hoping someone has the schematics for this older floorboard. And Patchwizard is you just happen to have it. Or maybe the AX2 prom binary. :)

	Thanks for any help!

I have a Line 6 Flextone Duo 2x50 watts Stereo amp and just picked up a Line 6 Floor Board. I am confused with how the different channels are recalled and how they are created and saved. I have attached the floor board manual to this post, but I am still not able to operate all the different functions. It would be great if there was someone who owns and uses the same components that I have and could ask questions. I am not great at creating tones as there are several modelled amps and effects to choose from and so many adjustments with reverb, channel volume ect. I have only played with the floor board a bit, but I am sure the more i try it the more questions will come up. Let me know if there is anyone out there that can help. It would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a floorboard to go with my pre-FBV Pod 2.0. After I play on it for a few minutes it effectively mutes the Pod. No sound comes out of it until I select a channel. When this happens the display on the floorboard shows 0, the display on the Pod goes blank, and the Manual button on the Pod lights up. It doesn't do this immediately after I've touched the floorboard so I don't think I'm pressing the wrong button somewhere. It also fixes itself if I disconnect the floorboard. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Hi, My shortboard has developed a fault. It powers up, the volume and wah lights flash once and the display says LINE 6 - then nothing happens. None of the buttons work. I've tried different cat5 cables.

Any ideas? Is there a way to reset it?

I'm using it with a Pod X3 Pro.

Thank you.

Well, I got the issue resolved with the Wah and now have another problem. When I power up the POD everything comes up and works normally. I'll see the Channel and bank in the POD readout, and the floorboard's corresponding Channel LED is lit, and the LED readout shows the correct bank. If I then try to Bank up or Bank down, the channel LED goes out on the floor board, the Channed disappears from the POD readout, the floorboard shows the new bank number, but the pod remains on whatever bank it was on, and nothing really changed. If I change channels from the floor board, everything goes back to normal, but chokes again if I try to Bank up or down. Everything else seems to working fine. This all worked prior to the Wah repair. Any ideas what might be going on???

flooreboard error

I have been having a little trouble with my floorboard lately- having opened up the unit and cleaned the micro switches with switch cleaner, tightened the PCB screws, checked the seating of the PCB interconnects, cleaned the RJ45 socket, tried a new cable, and reset the POD 2.0, I am left with one consistent issue.

The 'Channel Select'/'Effect on/off' mode lights do not light after startup (although they do light with all the others when turning on the POD with the board connected). The board will be in 'Channel Select' mode, so I can cycle through the banks and select a channel. However, if I want to enter a patch to alter the effects, drive, or boost functions, the 'Channel Select'/'Effects on/off' switch will not take me into the other mode, but simply show that the patch has been edited, showing an 'E' next to the Bank number on the board and 'edited' on the POD itself. Selecting a patch will return things to normal, but I am left without the ability to alter any of the effects in my patches. Particularly troublesome as I would usually use the 'boost' within a patch for solos.

Is there a simple explanation or easy fix for this behaviour?

Many Thanks, Andy

A strong reason to separate sophisticated electronics and connections from the foot switches that control them comes from the actions of certain crazed fans (or band mates) at the front of the stage in a small venue or party. I'm glad I had this foresight when I decided my rig would be FBV (placed on the floor) + POD HD (placed in a container). The photo I added here shows what can happen when guests with drinks get invited on stage without prior screening. Thankfully, I just wiped it off before the next set, and it worked great!

I recently discovered a problem with the pedals of my FBV longboard. When I connect it to my PodXTPro, after about 3 to 5 seconds the sound drops dead. When I unplug it again, the sound comes back.

I tried the calibration procedure, but none of the pedal indicators (position and midi) don't change when I move one the pedals. If I unscrew the bottom and connect it then, I see some slight change.

Does this mean the LED of the pedals is dead?

Hey guys,

I've had a Spider 112 amp and I recently bought a POD 2.0 to use away from the amp for practice through headphones. THe POD 2.0 came with an FBV4 footswitch. SInce I didn't have one for the Spider line 6 amp I figured I use the footswitch for that as well. Come to find out that the FBV4 isn't compatible with the Spider 112 amp. Now when I plug it in to my POD 2.0 the lights no longer work so I can't visually tell which is active unless I look on the POD 2.0 display. By plugging the FBV4 into the Spider amp, did I just fry out the circuitry for the lights? If so can I fix it? Hope someone is familiar with this.

Thanks!

I just picked up an FB4 pedal to go with the Spider 210 I recently bought from an uncle. I plugged it in and it doesn't reliably switch between the different programmed channels on my amp. It goes to one channel pretty reliably (though not perfectly) and the others steadily worse. One channel doesn't work at all. What could this be? I don't mind soldering parts onto the board if that's what it takes...

Thanks.

Hello,

I am trying to figure out what the display on the floorboard shows when connected via USB to another device. I read in the advanced manual that the midi control information is shown. Does anyone know if (instead) information from the device can be shown (ie patch names, tuner information, etc.)? Is there a setting that would enable this to occur?

My plan was to buy a Kenton or iConnectivity USB to Midi device to hook up the floorboard (usb) to the device (midi).

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for our help!
