I spent months figuring out why, and built a tool to fix it.

PPI Analyzer measures the perceived loudness of each take using a psychoacoustic Bark-band model (same principle as Zwicker's loudness model) instead of stopping at LUFS alone. It gives you:

• Correction in dB — how much to raise or lower each preset's output to match perceived loudness to a reference you choose. Acts 1:1 on level, no magic.
• Character score — a timbre-only reading (presence, dynamics, stereo width), fully separated from volume. If two presets have the same correction but different Character, it's an EQ issue, not a gain issue.
• Cut-through score — how well the spectrum is positioned to be heard in a dense mix.
• 8-band spectral balance + concrete EQ suggestions (frequency, gain, Q — ready to dial into your Parametric EQ block).
• Loudness curve over time with N50 sustain and N5 peaks.

The workflow: record the same passage through each preset (same take, no normalization on export), drop the files into the app, pick your reference, press Analyze. A few seconds later you have the correction to apply to the output block.

Works with any modeller — QC, Helix, FM9, Kemper, plugins — any DAW, runs directly in the browser (Chrome/Safari/Firefox) with no installation.

Good morning friends, for this song I used Helix Stadium for absolutely everything!
In addition to creating presets for the guitar and bass, I used compressors, reverbs, and effects on all the other instruments—drums, etc.
In Ableton, I created an effects instrument bus and applied the Stadium FX presets via Helix's USB routing (like a reamp).

Both of these much-loved preset series are now available for Helix Stadium, and they were designed specifically for the new Agoura Amps.

This is not a straight port from the old Helix. Every signal chain was rebuilt and carefully tweaked from the ground up to fully take advantage of Helix Stadium’s new engine, dynamics, and response.

Is this a christian site? I happen to see a lot of whorship patches and a lot of unusable regular patches.

Doesn't anyone upload proper patches to the helix floor? I´d wish someone could upload advanced high-class patches. I bought some patches, a while ago. Sounds rubbish on my engl. I've been playing guitar the last 40 years, done recordings on Abbey Road and other studios, but stilll I find it exciting to look for presets on various platforms. BUT, at the "mothership" itself, I just can´t find a good one. This is regarding my line 6 helix floor.  Any qualified suggestions?

Yes, I know about making patches myself, but I want to try a different sound.

Welcome to the first video of the "Helix enyclopedia" playlist. After updating the firmware to the new 3.1 i decided to run a test on EVERY AMP modeled in the Helix.

Today we have one of my favorite amps, the US Princess, modeled on a Fender® Princeton Reverb.

The amplifier interacts well with the pedals, i chose the ones I liked the most.

Compré un amplificador Spider V, donde se pueden importar tonos, modificarlos,..... pero resulta que todos los tonos geniales están para "Helix" me gustaría saber si hay algún conversor o alguna manera o truco para importarlos al amplificador, aunque no suene igual sería un comienzo para toquetear un poco y sacar cositas que merezcan la pena, porque los tonos para el Spider son casi todos iguales.

I was a little torn between the Solo Lead Crunch and the Solo Lead OD, ended up settling on the OD with the gain on 2.5. Despite Mule's in your face attitude, Warren plays very low gain in most cases. The sweet spot here is between 7-8.5 on the guitar volume and you can crank it to 10 when you really want it. I can't express how important this is for some tasty Warren tones. Also note, Warren mostly uses the bridge position for rhythm and the neck position for most of his lead stuff.

Made this with an SG with Bare Knuckle Mule (PAF style) pickups.

Pedal list and function:
Low Cut: exactly what it says. He doesn't use it much, but it stays on his board for certain uses.

Auto Wah: As we all know, we don't have a great option for this. I tried the mutant as well but this is about as close as I can get for those "Mighty High" sounds. Still wasn't able to really dial it in. Best on around 8 guitar vol. It responds better when you crank up the vol but doesn't sound great with the extra gain.

Delay: Well... delay. Nothing fancy. Warren uses a simple analog.

Octave: Nothing crazy here either. Just an octave down with enough mix to come through.

Rotosphere: Did I few things here which turned out pretty well I think. Tried out the Sadites trick of running two with slightly different speeds on the horn and woofer. I also linked the cab in with the switch to disable the cab when the Roto is activated and added a Low/High shelf since the only cuts were in the cab itself. I added an EQ after the Roto to tame some of the undesirable harshness that comes without it. This also responds and sounds much better/accurate at lower guitar volumes as well. Around 3-5.

High&Mighty: Just a high gain Minotaur with the tone rolled way back for some of the more heavy tones like you'd find on High and Mighty. I love the Minotaur for this since it really keeps our definition and doesn't get over-saturated.

Klon: Low gain Minotaur just for some tone shaping and tightness.

Just Enough: This is something I've been adding to most of my presets. 10-Band EQ with the gain cranked and some eq shaping that acts as a natural overdrive. I've loved this set-up on everything. Especially Fender model amps in a more Country rig. I usually pair it with a volume cut after the cab but didn't feel it was needed here. Feel free to throw it in some of your own presets!

Wah: I haven't found a wah on the Helix that I've been a fan of. But the Throaty seems close enough to a Bad Horsie type wah.

Reverb: A little plate to fall into the mix. If you're really going for a Warren tone, use very sparingly. But I personally prefer a wetter verb.

Cab: Greenback 25 w/57

The Bass-ic's preset pack is every utensil you would ever need in the studio or on the stage. From fat and clean to a saturated monstrosity, these presets have you covered. All of these presets were built with a passive, Fender style instrument in mind, but will work on most every bass!

Featured in this pack:

    •    "Hitsville" - A digital recreation of James Jamerson's signal flow. Get the iconic bass sounds from the infamous studio without any of the expensive and heavy vintage outboard gear.
-Saturation and warmth provided by tube preamp & tape reel emulation.
-FS1: Classic Opto style squash
-FS2: Low and High Cut to emulate the EQ of classic motown recordings

    •    "Studio DI" - A slightly saturated tone you will never want to turn off. Created with a 70s Neve 1073 in mind. Get that "direct to the desk" tone.
-FSI: Drive run in parallel to retain low end.
-FS2: Short Hall reverb
-Run these in conjunction to emulate a driven amp mic' d up in a room.

    •    "Short King" - Sculpted for all of you short scale enthusiasts out there. This tone will retain the fatness and thump of your bass, while keeping things tight and musical. 
-FS1: Drive run in parallel to retain low end.
-FS2: A haunting reverb on a momentary switch. Great for reverb throws/ambient moments.

    •    "Amp Vault" - Choose between two classic amps running into a closely mic’d 1x15 cab.
-FS1: B - 15 (Clean)
-FS2: SVT(Dirty) + Short Hall verb (emulating room noise)
-Run these in conjunction to get even more grit!
