  2. While I'd hope for Line6 to extend compatibility to Catalina, at least I hope they don't eventually drop it for HX Edit. I wouldn'like to have to spend ~2000€ on a new MacMini just to be able to update my Helix...
  3. and yes just like the tremolo, the blue status light is blinking in the correct tempo but not on bar/beat, there is nearly every time an offset...
  4. Hi! I came across this problem too, getting MIDI beat clock from Pro Tools. MBC works perfectly fine with delays and modulation fx which can be synced with it, no problem at all. only tremolo fx don't work 100% right. They do sync to the incoming tempo but the effect is not on the bar/beat. it seems that it just snaps anytime to the incoming tempo but ignores bar/beat and so it´s a hit or miss if the tremolo is in time or shifted by 1/16th, 1/32th,...
  5. Thanks for the suggestions and links! Will take a look!
  6. I will try POST for both (Delay and Reverb)....and experiment. And try to find that 'blues Rock' tone I am after (my song needs it). Funny you mentioned Buddy Guy (I am listening to his 'Blues Don't Lie' recent album right now). Always a pleasure. ....and no...I do not have the new Catalyst CX (if that is what you are referring to). I got the original Catalyst. No need for me to get additional amp settings. Or any downloads to do. Thank you for your help!! Much appreciated. Cheers!

  8. Ah perfect...thanks to both of you. I've been reading the manual but missed that. Great video as well! Appreciate it!
  9. Hello, can anyone tell me how to get the boost function from the Spider iv 75 under the function 1 or 2 button of the FVB MK2. I've seen on yotube that it is possible but i can't find out how. I can change settings of the function button but i can't find the midi command of the boost.

  11. Yes Line 6 Monkey is a utility that updates your firmware. You may need it, you may not. Pod Farm is the plugin (VST) processor. If you register your X3 in your Line 6 account you may find you have a bundled license for the original Pod Farm product (not v2.5). If not you will need to purchase it if you want to use it.
  12. Thanks for the reply, sliverhead. I discovered those drivers just a moment ago and was about to update my post. I'm kind of skeptical too, but hopeful. I've downloaded Gearbox and the Drivers v4.2.7.7. Will see what happens. Am I correct in recalling that Line6 Monkey was the overall installer and account manger program that made sure everything was registered and installed correctly, but and didn't do anything more than that? Do you know if all that is still necessary? I recall the Line6 account backend with the Monkey could sometimes be a problem. My account currently shows now registered products, but it's been years. And there was also a vst that pretty much duplicated inside the DAW the modeling that the physical X3 did internally? And that Gearbox was able to send patches between the device the DAW? As you can tell it's been a while since I used it, but I had great productive fun with it! This will be interesting!
  13. Surprisingly the Downloads area of this website lists X3 drivers for Win10 as well as a Win10 compatible version of Gearbox and Line 6 Monkey. Those are the pieces you will need to install. Colour me skeptical but perhaps it will all work!
  14. Hi. I have a POD X3. I know it is a legacy product and no longer supported. The last time I used it with a DAW was with a 32-bit Windows 7 machine. What drivers and other software are still available that I can download to make the POD more computer-aware, and to make my computer aware of the POD. Tbh, I don't recall the softwares I used with it under Windows 7, but there was Gearbox and POD Farm and something with Monkey.... But what all is available today for Windows 10 and 11, so I can get the most of the X3? Looking forward to using it again!! Thank you.
Merci d'avance
  16. Is it possible to copy and past files?
  17. I want to improve the sound and the weight of the amp so I will try a Celestion G12 NEO Creamback 8 Ohm. I think the amp has to work harder so mayby it never reach the 100 Watt level ;-) But start with your advice and start at 50 watt max.
  18. Hi, Here’s a video of Pete Thorn doing exactly what you are wanting to achieve - it’s referred to as reamping. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  19. The Looper can be configured in Pre or Post FX mode (see Global Settings and manual pg20). Have you tried both?
  20. Hi I'm trying to use the looper in kill dry mode for a wet/dry rig, but it seems the kill dry only works in the delay modes, when I switch to looper the dry signal goes through. Am I missing something?
  21. No M9 settings can’t be imported into Helix. IRs can probably be imported if they are *.wav files.
  22. From the manual, USB AUDIO section: Recording a Dry DI Track For this example, we’ll record guitar into two DAW tracks simultaneously, with one capturing the Helix-processed tone and the other the unprocessed DI guitar. 1. In the Helix Global Settings>Ins/Outs>Page 3 screen, set Re-amp Src (USB 7) to “Guitar” (as shown above). 2. Dial in your desired Helix tone, while keeping the Helix Input and Output blocks both set to the default “Multi” setting. 3. Create two new audio tracks in your DAW software project: Create one mono track to record the dry DI guitar, and set the track’s input to Helix USB 7. Continued...
  23. Hi all...I'm new to the Helix Floor but have also started using it as my audio interface. I used to record using Bias FX 2, and I was able to change amps/etc. at will since I was using a plug-in and the guitar signal was recorded dry. If I'm using the Helix for my guitar tones how can I do that? Won't I be committing that certain guitar sound/amp when I record it? Some other info...I record on a Mac Mini, using Logic and Reaper. Thanks!
  24. Is there a way to import to an HX Stomp XL my M9 settings? And even my Atomic Firebox (at least the IRs)? I have relied on my M9 for countless tours and shows, and always had a backup board all set... Atomic Firebox direct to PA, Line 6 M9, a v1.1 OCD, and a couple others. I LOVE the sounds I get from that setup, but I needed to size down to fit as carry-on for fly-dates. NOW, I'm trying to make this happen. Is there ANY WAY to get the settings for some of the effects on my presets off of my M9 and into the HX Edit? AND, how about the Atomic (at least the IRs I bought for it, as transferring the amp models doesn't seem to be a logical option. If anyone can please help, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

  26. Hello - thank you in advance for any help! A quick potted history - I started playing the bass just over two years ago and put a lot of time into it eventually getting myself in to a band who have just begun gigging. I bought a 6 string in Jan 23 and a Pod Go hoping to get myself proficient and then using the Pod Go for both bass and 6 string. Forward to today...we have gigs lined up, I have an Ashdown RM-C115T-500 EVO II Combo. So I got started with the Pod Go last year, downloaded a lot of bass presets but I have to be honest I'm not yet sure what I'm doing. I understand how useful it is with a 6 string but I just need a bit of a point in the right direction...be it videos or guides or even a video call I understand that not all PA systems can cope with bass frequencies so would be looking to set presets without cabs/amps to give me a selection of tones I could go through during gigs (song dependent) and learn how to make these myself. If there's anything else I need to know please do feel free to point it this way...I've learned to play the bass but I don't really understand some of the basics of how to set your pedals up etc All help gratefully received! Thanks Andrew
  27. Hi, Forum contributor Ben Vesco (Malhavok) has made a download available of lots of old and deleted Factory Presets for the Helix completists - if necessary, you should be able to find it there. http://benvesco.com/store/line-6-helix/ Hope this helps/makes sense.

    Footswitch LFS2

You set the function of the switches in the app. Global Settings (the gear icon), then at the bottom of the drop-down choose the switch you want to configure and select from the list. The gap between channels is the same whether I use MIDI or the FS. Remember, you are not switching analog channels. Calling them CHANNELS is a bit misleading IMO. It's a marketing thing. You are actually switching PRESETS. It takes a moment to UNLOAD the CURRENT PRESET from memory and LOAD the NEW PRESET into memory. This also introduces the problem that if you switch channels while a note is ringing out, depending on the FX/OD level, strange noises could ensue. Since you have a MIDI controller (assuming it's a good one) you may be able to work around the gap problem by changing things within the channel/preset vs switching. I messed around with this a bit when I first got mine but decided it was too much trouble. I just don't switch channels while a note is ringing. Works for me!
