    G10S Transmitter FALLS OUT

Hmmm... Honestly, that sounds more like a problem with that specific bass than the G10 itself. My G10 fits snugly in every jack I’ve plugged it into.

    G10S signal issues

The reason companies use the 2.4 GHz part of the spectrum for things like wireless audio is that it’s one of the relatively few bands that they can operate in without having to worry about getting an FCC license, and it’s generally used for the same sort of things all over the world. As far as WiFi interference, it really does come down to being too close to a source most of the time. As long as you can have your receiver 10 feet away from a router, it shouldn’t be a issue. I’ve used my G10 and G10S all over the place, and I’ve not had any issues.

HX Stomp limited live usage capabilities

Well, the Boss MS-3 is quite a bit larger than the Stomp... It has five footswitches compared to the Stomp’s three. I had one for a little while. It made me want to pull my hair out programming it. Anyway, I think the Stomp isn’t primarily meant to be a rig replacement. You can do that, especially if you’re will to use external footswitches and/or MIDI controllers with it. Primarily, though, the Stomp is designed to live on a pedalboard with other pedals. It’s the ultimate wild card pedal in that it can basically be whatever you want it to be.
  5. Ok, that takes care of the volume issue then, right? It just means you cannot use a Wah setting in your patches, in effect disabling the pedal.

Spider IV 150. Cuts out on Low Frequencies

Does it do this no matter what sound settings you have? (I.e. pre-set patches, manual settings) Could be a defective compressor setting

  8. I'm going to be selling up at the start of May. I have 4 x L3s and 4 x L3ts complete with Line 6 bags. All in good condition with some small marks from normal use, save one L3t which has some cosmetic damage from an idiot who thought he would help! Speaker works fine and you'd have to have the damage pointed out. Also have an M20D which is flight cased and has acrylic cover. Before I hit eBay etc, I just wondered if there's any interest here? Have the original boxes for all these items, and I'm in the UK.
  9. I just bought a brand new G10S wireless system and found that the transmitter disconnects from my Musicman Stingray5 bass when I am playing live. I do tend to move around a lot on stage but it's not like I am jumping around. I tried opening the input jack to ensure the internal pins were not loose and everything was fine. Has anyone else reported this huge problem? As it is I cannot rely on the system even though the wireless function is operating perfectly. I have opened a support ticket with Line6 as I will need to return the unit if this cannot be fixed to ensure 100% reliability. David

    HX stomp USB noise

Do you guys experience the same? Because I could also just use the internal HX soundcard to record which seems to be good quality. However there is a huge difference in volume when I use my Apogee Duet preamps compared to the HX stomp internal ones. The input signal is really low making the recordings not optimal. On the other hand when I use the Apogee Duet and the USB connection of the stomp there is always this small incoming signal which is definitely not good for a perfect rec session. I tried to use a different USB cable but nothing changes. Just wanted to make sure that the problem is not of the HX itself otherwise I have to return it.

    Helix Native Problem

I canceled everything that has a connection to the Helix native after uninstalling it. This also means the files in Progaramm data (User area) and the found directories. I have cleaned the registry. I confess that I did not find the possibility to deactivate a quick start. (A term I don't know) Norton doesn't complain about anything when it's called. The installer was also clean for Norton. I use Norton for all 5 computers of my family and don't want to change because of Line6. Very rarely I had to check with Norton to see if a complaint was really justified. They usually react quickly. I use Reaper (last version) as host and Norton on my notebook as well. It works fine. One of the first instructions of the support was also to uninstall and reinstall Reaper. I'm surprised the support doesn't respond to the error code information. They simply repeat the instructions to uninstall and reinstall, and finally they gave me a link, incomprehensible to me in this context, which says that it is not necessary to have an internet connection after first registration. The next sentence then is said - quote > "Hello, I assume your network card is not disabled? < unquoted.... which confuses me! I still have the internet connection turned on and off a few times. Before and after the installation with restart or not the PC. In no case I was asked for a new registration but only received the quoted error message. I would expect a question about the registration after deinstallation but after the error message no further action is possible except closing of the window. The DAW is not disturbed. BTW: Thank you for your efforts.
  13. Hi Line6 Community, hello to everybody, this is my fist post. At first let me tell you: I love the sound of the HX Stomp! No question. But coming from the BOSS MS-3 there is a lot Line6 could learn in terms of flexibility. And I really don't get it why everybody is praising the Helix Stomp as unbelievable easy to use and flexible..... I tried to configure the Stomp as standalone for a live backup rig. What I simply need is: Clean Crunch Lead Tuner Sounds simple right. But it's very difficult with the Stomp. Let us assume I'm using the MS-3 with only 3 buttons like the Stomp: Button One switches to Preset One -> Clean and press again to Crunch Button Two switches to Preset Two -> Rhythm and press again to Lead Button Three is dedicated to Tuner (long press) and switch to stomp mode. In addition I can assign the the knobs to several parameters that can be adjusted while in preset mode. With this setup I can do a lot with just three buttons including switching each Preset to stomp mode to and add additional FXs. Using the Helix: Stomp mode -> Switch between Clean/Rhythm needs two different amp models etc. not easy to get the setup In preset mode I can only switch between three presets and have no access to the tuner by a button In snapshot mode again I have no access to the tuner by a button Scroll mode to me is not very handy since you can easily switch to the wrong preset in a live situation.... In general I think the limitations come from the the heritage of the bigger Helix versions where you can have presets and stomp at the same time.... A great benefit for the helix stomp would be that you can press a preset again and activate/deactivate a block and configure the tuner by a long press. But maybe I'm just not on the right track and doing it completely wrong. If so, it would be great to have some suggestions form you experts :-) Regards, Marco
  14. I think I need to also adjust return and send levels of fxloop..? At band practise session I did not get as great tones out of my single rectifier as I get when connected straight to amp! (I have modified the parallel fxloop to series, so that should not be an issue) I have also set the volume knob to control XLR only from global settings.

Sound completely cutting out (Mac OS)

I'm having the same issue on Reaper too. It's not definitive what the problem is yet. did you figure it out?

Scratchy Expression Pedal on the Helix.

Off to Line 6 for repair.
  18. I have been unable to install drivers for my POD XT on both Mac and Windows machines. I have run just about every driver and version of Monkey there is and just cannot get Monkey to connect to the POD XT. I have even tried other USB cables. I believe this fault to be with Line 6 and not my hardware. Never have I ran into such issues with a piece of hardware. All I am trying to do is backup my sounds from the POD but has proven to be such a bloody headache that I'm thinking to get rid of all my Line 6 gears. Totally off putting. I am really upset about the time I have wasted just to do a simple task!!!

POD HD Desktop VS POD XT+add-on packs

Thank you for this information. Its good to hear this cause it helps me on what I may experience with my trial and errors with a POD HD Desktop. Does the POD HD Desktop take a 9vdc 3A Polarity = center negative outer positive plug tip ac adapter?

    Helix For Bass

It has the BK-7 (obsidisan 7000) which works fantastic for bass. I would like to see the Alpha Omega and Vintage Microtubes as well. But if you dial them in the Minotaur sounds great as does the Clawthorn if you like a fat fuzzy distortion. Lots of great bass tones. also the Woody Blue amp model is very good for a platform to start with.

Experiments With Helix Master Volume Settings

If your signal chain included Amp/Cab -> compressor -> output, then I would expect channel volume to have a significant impact on the feel since its controlling the level into the compressor. The higher the channel volume, the more compression. This would be true regardless of whether output level was adjusted for the same overall level or not.

POD HD Desktop VS POD XT+add-on packs

I just want to second what Silverhead is saying here. I never owned the XT... but I did own the X3 Live... then an HD500. The X3 was much easier to get a good tone... the HD took a lot of effort and tweaking to get it where I liked it in comparison. The HD had less models... but generally speaking better sounding models (not all amps were better). That aside, there were also compromises that made absolutely no sense to me.... For some reason they removed the "extremely functional" 4 band parametric EQ and implemented a handful of really ODD EQ's that were limited in capability and labeled by % values instead of REAL EQ values. EG: Try guessing where 400hz is when the value is 0 - 100%? They seriously compromised the output options by removing all separation between 1/4", XLR and USB outputs. The XT/X3 was extremely powerful while the HD became a toy in comparison. I moved to a Helix a while back.. but retained my HD500 as a backup and as a computer connection for my old variax. BUT - I've seriously contemplated a downgrade to the X3 to handle those duties... I honestly thought it was a more functional unit.

    Line 6 UX2 Quit working

I own a Line 6 UX2 interface that has always worked well. Now, from time to time, it has not been recognized, I have experimented with several computers, I have experimented with several USB cables, I have experimented with several programs and drivers and the result is always the same, the Line 6 UX2 is not recognized, the livel pointers to 36 when connected to USB. This way I wonder if they have an idea to solve my problem. Best regards,

    G10S signal issues

You know, I wish I had read these before I purchased the 10s. It seems if there is a wifi connection, this thing won't work. This is huge inattention on Line6's part. We are defiantly in the age of wifi. Even if the venues don't have wifi for the clientele, most likely they have wifi for their own tech. In today's day and age, how are you going to make a unit which will no perform if there is a wifi signal close by. Heck, we have wifi for our mixer. I owned the G10 an was happy with it until it stopped working. I replaced it twice (service warranty) and it seemed after 8 months (or so) it would stop working. It wouldn't cut in and out it just flat out stopped working. When it did work, it was awesome. I played so many shows with seamless guitar changes. I was happy the see the G10s because I had changed to a Samson POS and was positive Line6 would have a awesome piece of equipment. I am an avid Line6 owner (no I not leaving line6, they still are great) and am so disappointed in this equipment they have put out. (proudly too) I would even be happy if it performed as well as the G10 (8 month life). 5 minutes in thou, that is a bit too much to let slide.

Is L6 Piezo Amp on Spider V available for HD500x?

No, but I believe a variation exists in the HD Vintage Pack add on.... called "Line 6 Acoustic" https://shop.line6.com/software/model-packs/hd-model-packs/hd-vintage-pack.html
