You can’t move and install patches. Each device has its own edit program for that.

What does Central actually do? Is it just a tool for updating equipment? Or can you move and install patches as well?
-
If you physically tune down one and a half steps below standard, that will warble. Go down a whole step, then,... use the Alt Tune, you can go lower. Also make use of Workbench HD's tuning functions, and save it as part of your patch.

You don’t need to go through them all. Just download and install HX Edit v3.71 and follow the instructions.

Just purchased a used helix floor model and the firmware has not been upgrade. I think it is on 2.8. Just wanting to know do I need to download all the upgrades in order or can I just download 3.71?

Yeah, I've realized these other plugins suck. The catalyst sounds much better by itself. I'm considering a Pod GO, simply for more amp models and effecvts than what are out of hte box. I dont' like buying pedals endlessly for different setups depending upon what type of music I"m messing with at the time. The all in one approach is very attractive for me.

I'm late to the party on my acquisition of a Shuriken, and have recently experienced the exact same issue. I ran the test in Workbench that was suggested above and was able to confirm fairly strong bleed-through of the detuned E string after reducing the A string volume to 0%. Additionally, if I reduce the E and D strings to 0%, I can then palm mute the A string without issue. Based on those tests, it would seem that the issue is conclusively "un-fixable" in the current iteration of the instrument, but I thought I'd check here to see if anything has changed in the last few years - or if anyone has developed a reasonable work-around. Thanks!

So, you can't have both the line out and the speaker going on one amp? Or is the line out line too hot to plu into a mps line in jack on another amp? Just trying every combination. Thank you

And you've probably figured out by now that Amplitube is not much better. Significantly better: Get the FREE version of ToneX for iOS and AUM ($20.99). TBH - I think that the Catalyst's amps and built-in FX beat the p1$$ out of any of the iOS guitar plugins. Add a Sonicake WAH/VOL pedal ($60) and get FULL CONTROL with a decent MIDI Foot Controller (Hotone Ampero Control - $120). The MIDI controller is only really important if you need instant Bank changes, otherwise the stock 2 button switch is really all you need. Over time you'll spend more money on horrible sounding iOS plugins. If you REALLY need a boatload of concurrent FX save up for an HXFX or an HX Stomp (gets you all of the Helix Amps and MIDI). FWIW - I own every major player - AT5, BIAS FX, Guitar Rig, Native, S-Gear, ToneX, THU, and I've tried so many others over the years I can't even recall them all. I also own a Helix, a PC212+ and an HX Stomp. Most of the time my Catalyst is all I need. With so much less to think about I spend a LOT more time actually PLAYING my guitar! DO NOT SHORT-SELL YOUR CATALYST!

Speaker cut-off when using headphones out, has to do with impedance. To have both going at the same time would heat the amp chip and blow something.

The Input block has a parameter called Gtr Pad. Set it to ON. Or set Gtr Pad to Global and Global Settings -> Ins/Outs -> Input Level to Line.

Distortion at any volume with headphone and DAW

Hi, thanks. The PAD setting there isn't in the HX Stomp.. I'm wrong? I read somewhere that I need to use the line input, correct? How I can do it? -
I got it to work. I didn't realize I could use the USB B to lightning instead of the 1/4. The hard part was finding how to use amp models instead of the recording section....but it now works...kind of underwhelming, though. Probably because the GB amp models are like 10 years old or so
-
Exactly the setup I described in your other thread. AT apparently doesn't do stereo in, so you'll need either Ch3 or 4. I don't recall if I mentioned it over there, but unless you turn the Cat's CHANNEL VOLUME down (0), you'll hear the Cat's Preamp even when the recording channel is set to 3 or 4. Also, when I said to enable the MIC, I don't mean the RECORDING MIC (called "Built-In MIC Monitoring in AT). When you load the App (AT or GB) it asks if you want to use the MIC. Say yes, but within the app there's an option to use the RECORDING MIC or some such, DON'T use that. You also need to enable the MIC for each app in your iPad's SETTINGS>PRIVACY>MICROPHONE.

You're still using the wrong cable. Re-read my post: That's NOT Lightning to 1/4"!

Has anybody successfully setup amplitude to play via the catalyst? I am trying this for the first time and cannot figure it out. I have a usb from the computer into the back of the catalyst on the usb c or whatever it is. Amplitude ‘sees’ the catalyst as an input mic, but I cannot get the amp models to be playable. do I need an audio interface or will this setup work if o change something in a setting or parameter?

I just picked up a new lightning to 1/4 cable and I still can’t get it to work. in garage band it is only picking up the iPhone mic as an input. I cannot change it to anything else.

I fried one 30 W Spider by playing it too quickly after bringing it in from the cold. However, the CD/MP3 in works fine. I've already spent more than it it worth trying to get it fixed so I bought another one - like new. Store stickers still on it. In a perfect world I would make use of the cd/mp3 in jack to connect the broken one to the new one using the phones/record out. Having two 30W amps in a small venue could give an awesome sound - especially with effects. But the problem noted by so many occurs, plug into the record out jack and I loose the speaker in that amp. I have read some comments about altering the 1/4 inch jack going into the record out jack. Any ideas?

Tremolos synced with MIDI beat clock not on bar/beat

Tremolos synced with MIDI beat clock not on bar/beat

Here's my solution: variable tempo of the tremolo helps it stay in sync. -
Hi, Helix Native is an AAX/AU/VST plugin for a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Reaper, Studio One, Logic Pro, etc. You do not need to have your hardware connected to use it, but it's a helps if you should yo need to use it as a USB Audio Interface to get your basic guitar sound into the DAW More info and video here: https://line6.com/helix/helixnative.html Hope this help/makes sense.

Ok thanks for the input - and obviously that's disappointing to hear. BTW - I did try logging into Ideascale but I kept getting an error message about my e-mail address or password. Not sure if that portal needs a separate registration?
