  3. Oh, on the EXH Attack Decay Pico, there's a button that specifically turns this feature on. That explains it.
  4. So, on the POG 2, the attack delay, or swell, works just like a Slow Gear or any other volume swell pedal, BUT it can swell multiple notes/strings at the same time or while one note swells, you can play another note that will swell too... whereas a standard slow gear or other pedal will just let the second note through at regular attack/volume, since it only swells the first note played... in a monophonic capacity. Is that making sense? or am i not explaining this well? I think i'm having a hard time laying it out there. haha
  5. Since many of us know what polyphonic is and what a swell is, it's not very clear what YOU mean by a polyphonic swell. Maybe starting there will get you more answers.
  6. I relied on my POG 2 for polyphonic swells. Got the Attack Decay now, since that's all I used the POG2 for, and it's just... lacking. Is there polyphonic anything in my HX Stomp XL, and is there any way to make a polyphonic swell?? I don't know why EHX is the only company that offers it, unless they have proprietary tech... Any suggestions, workarounds, or advice?
  7. Thank you for the reply! Now, to figure out how to get my mono set "stereo delay" to give me what i want. I really just want a 4 head delay BUT with 8 heads to choose from instead. Any chance it exists in this thing? Or can be suggested???
  8. hello need your help . When I want to work with music in headphone from PC , it works for a while but a few time later music is cutoff . The sound of guitar goes on . I have to switch off my pod go and turn it on again .
  9. I posted the screenshot on TGP after watching the Learning with Line 6 video on the Catalyst CX. I believe Nick the Line 6 presenter mentioned that the boost chart has been sent around to the Line 6 reps but hasn't been published anywhere else.
  10. Yes, this is perfect and totally possible! I have this Y cable and it worked perfectly. This way it only works using a send return block and I will lost the HX1 connection before the Stomp to use compressor and Poly capo per example. Well, I'm going to have to get used to using method 4 anyway. The sound of the send return block will always be mono but at least I can also have the HX1 coming in before the Stomping in some presets. Thanks for your help! Keep rock.

  12. I did some reading on both units. HX Stomp has a Stereo loop. The send is stereo (TRS) and the returns are separate mono, left and right. HX One has left and right inputs as well as left and right outputs. If your goal is to relieve HX Stomp of some of its stereo DSP load and offload that work to HX1 it should be possible with the right kind of cable. You would need a stereo splitting cable. The cable I am thinking of has one 1/4" TRS plug on one end and two 1/4" mono plugs on the other end. That cable would connect the Stomp send to the HX1 inputs. Then two 1/4" mono cables to connect the HX1 outputs to the Stomp returns. That setup should allow you to send a stereo signal from Stomp to HX1 and have HX1 process that signal (in stereo) and send stereo returns back to Stomp. Such a setup would increase your available DSP.
  13. Coming back to this...I would still like the ability to set different settings for left and right when running stereo effects, not just eq, but any effect. I'm running stereo signals both before the preamps of my two amps, and in the fx loops of both amps. Is this doable now? (maybe it's been implemented?)
  14. My AKG K240's sound fine. My Sony MDR-V6's sound harsh. Both are "Studio" headphones, so... Play around with different speaker and mic combinations and, oh yeah, those round knob thingies on the amp panel... FWIW - there's no such thing as "FRFR" (full-range/flat response). It's a marketing gimic. There's only what sounds good to YOU.
  15. Thank you so much for your answer. I don't think I was very clear, but you understood. I would like to be able to use a preset with HX1 before Stomp and a second preset with HX1 inside Stomp (send/return block). Not at the same time, but in each preset I defined whether the HX1 would come before the Stomp or in the send and return. The point is that I would like to take advantage of the HX1's stereo effects when sending and returning, but not have to change the cable configuration. Well, I did several tests here and as the Stomp has a stereo send input and not two monos, it was no longer possible.
  16. I have like 6 G30s. Battery doors are broken on 2 of them (and one of those never dropped), and is barely functional on a 3rd ... I ordered 3 g30 chassis from line 6 for $11.00 a piece. - Used the battery door on one to fix the door on an existing unit (screw under the clip would NOT come out and the head stripped so I was able to get it by prying the side with the screw that DID come out) - The screws came out of the second one, but the original chassis cracked upon disassembly. Attempted to use an entire replacement chassis on that one. Screws would not catch and the heads stripped. Threw the whole thing against the wall. - Haven't even attempted the third yet. Between this and lack of support, documentation, and USB drivers for my SpiderValve MKII HD100, I'm kinda done with Line 6 man.
  17. I am not sure if I was asking this before. I know that i have asked this somewhere, but this was before my pause from guitar. Anyway, once more :) I really like how Catalyst sounds(although I had a bad start with it at the beginning but that was mostly my fault, nvm) but the problem is that it is quite loud, very loud for a home usage even set on 1/2 W. I am not living alone, so don't have much time when I can use it as I like. That means... loud :). And I don't agree with some saying that it sounds the same on every volume level. I think that actually it sounds the best when it is set quite loud. When I am alone I usually play with volume somewhere in the middle or even higher. But that's when I am alone. Usually I am not. So i really want to play it on headphones. And here is my question. What is your experience with headphones. Do you like how it sounds? For me the sound it awful, but, I don't have studio headphones. I have only "regular" headphones. Marshall Major IV. Changing MIC settings helps a bit, but still it is awful sound. What I know from difference between "regular" headphones and studio, that "regular" mess with sound by modifying it. Studio headphones should be more flat, and be able to more accurately replicate the original sound. So maybe that's the main problem. Probably all of you use studio headphones, so I would like to hear your opinion about how Cat sounds with them, before I will eventually buy and try one.
  18. Neither of those devices have enough options for physical connectivity to be able to run one in front of the other and one in the loop of the other at the same time. I'm not sure by your wording if that's what you meant but if it is, that is not possible with your existing equipment. You will have to choose one or the other. Run them in series or run one in the loop of the other. Also, running the HX1 in the loop of the Stomp is not the four cable method. That's just putting an external effect in the Stomp's loop. The four cable method refers to the use of a guitar amplifier in which some of the effects from your processor go to the input of the amp and other effects from your processor go into the amps' effect loop. It's not 4CM to run an external effect in a processor loop. Running a favourite overdrive pedal in the loop of a Helix device before sending the output to a mixing board or FRFRs does not constitute 4CM. It's only 4CM if you plug the device into a guitar amplifier's loop. Stomp is stereo capable but I don't know enough about it to know if the loops are stereo capable. If they are then I suspect it should be possible to outsource some of your stereo DSP load to the HX1.
  19. Here's another thing to consider - SOME USB powered AI's are noisy. I know that you don't want to hear this, but maybe it's time for some "tough love". You bought the cheapest AI on the market from a mfr that is known for crappy low end hardware. They don't even provide drivers! How many hours have you spent on this project? IDK about you, but the last job I worked before retiring was driving a truck for $25/hr. I'm almost up to two hours (the price of the unit) just trying to help you make it work. Just go out and get a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd or 4th gen - <>$100) and be done with it. If you get it at GC or Amazon you can even return it if you decide you don't like it.
  20. You do not need to buy a new amp to get the new features, including the ability to use any two effects (vs any effect + reverb). Just install the latest FW update. The only difference between the new and old amps is the silk-screening on the panel and the panel trim is SCREWED down! You'll also need to update the App. TRY IT, YOU"LL LIKE IT!
  21. Hello guys. I need a little help. So, I have a HX stomp and a HX one, and I would like to make the two work together. I would like to be able to connect the HX one before the HX stomp and also the option to connect the HX one inside the HX stomp through Send and Return. I know I can do this using the HX one pre and post, but my question is, how do I make this work in stereo so I can use HX one stereo delays in an HX stomp block? Thanks!
  22. Hi again, my problem is now solved and this as information if something like this will happen to you. I submitted a support ticket to Line6 and they replied with kind of same information as in the updating instructions found in these pages. One fellow member of TGP forum prompted me to put the usb cable in the usb port in the rear of the desktop and that helped. So now do I have the new firmware again :)
  23. I was able to get tones today with the updated drivers via Cantabile (might work with Cakewalk, but haven't tried)! But...there is a nasty, loud, continuous hiss that I need to track down. Also, I think I'm hearing a dry/wet mix instead of full wet because the tones aren't nearly as saturated (don't sound good at all) as expected. Not sure where to find the settings for dry/wet mix. The input ports are stereo into helix, stereo out to main speakers, so maybe that setting is diluting the mix... More homework... Edited to add: super glitchy. Suddenly had no sound at all via headphones, but a dry signal was hitting the computer speakers. But there was a wet/dry mix knob. How convenient! I was provided a knob without sound. Closed and restarted, sound was back, mix knob gone. It is possessed! Anyone have a gallon of holy water? Bob
  24. While I'd hope for Line6 to extend compatibility to Catalina, at least I hope they don't eventually drop it for HX Edit. I wouldn'like to have to spend ~2000€ on a new MacMini just to be able to update my Helix...
  25. and yes just like the tremolo, the blue status light is blinking in the correct tempo but not on bar/beat, there is nearly every time an offset...
  26. Hi! I came across this problem too, getting MIDI beat clock from Pro Tools. MBC works perfectly fine with delays and modulation fx which can be synced with it, no problem at all. only tremolo fx don't work 100% right. They do sync to the incoming tempo but the effect is not on the bar/beat. it seems that it just snaps anytime to the incoming tempo but ignores bar/beat and so it´s a hit or miss if the tremolo is in time or shifted by 1/16th, 1/32th,...
  27. Thanks for the suggestions and links! Will take a look!
