  1. ....same here, still remodeling and will be adding some more speakers (really big ones). And a much larger console (need lots more channels). I'll probably knock out the walls so I can fit in more stuff. Or maybe move into a bigger space. Whatever.

  2. For future reference you should always begin a firmware update by downloading and installing the HX Edit installer package which includes the latest (and guaranteed compatible) versions of the driver and the Line 6 Updater program. Then run the latest Updater program to install the firmware. Installing the firmware in isolation, with potentially outdated driver and Updater, can lead to more complicated compatibility issues than just the new models not showing up.

  3. I'll get a proper pic up once the remodel is done ;) But here's what's in it.

  4. Can't be done with the current architecture. If you're not happy with any update you can always reinstall the previous version, although any presets created with the new version may no longer be compatible.

  8. I posted this over at TGP, but no replies... There seems to be a bug in the looper after 2.6 install. If I create a loop using the 6-button looper in one patch and then switch to another patch that has a 6-button looper block, I can't overdub using the other patch. The overdub icon reverts to the record icon, and when I hit the footswitch, it creates a new loop from scratch, erasing the original loop. EDIT: actually, I can overdub in the other patch, but only after hitting the play button first. and you have hit it on exactly the beat the loop starts on, or it will screw up the timing relative to how badly you missed the beat. either way, this is not a reasonable workaround. This only happens with the 6-button looper, not the 1-button. I never had this issue before the update. I'm really bummed, because I use this all the time. I'll create a loop with a guitar tone and then switch to another patch for a bass tone, or a completely different amp. One other issue... When overdubbing with the 1-button looper, there's a delay when you hit the switch. With the 6-button looper, the overdub begins the instant you hit the switch, but with the 1-button looper, if you hit the switch on the exact beat the overdub starts, there's a moment of silence before the overdubbed part begins.

  9. Yep, but it's not as expensive as air would be if it needed to be purchased. Thank God hot air we are sometimes full of doesn't cost much either. ; ) Ahh, Its only money and you can't take it with you. I still envy your toys - Grats!!!

  10. They should behave exactly the same as far as the DSP limit is concerned. It's really a self-imposed, fictional limit with Native, though, because it's not representing the actual DSP power available in someone's system. But they're the same so preset made in Native will transfer to the hardware and vice versa.

  11. I agree, obviously. At the very least, it should be clearly documented in the release notes.

  12. That would make sense. But still, I would like to keep my patches intact when upgrading the firmware. If we lose a little everytime there's an update, we'll have to think twice before doing so.

  13. Hey Guys, Today I walk through the tone used in the song Snakes by my band/project, The Partisan Component using the Line 6 Helix and Ownhammer Impulses. The chain is as follows: PRS SE Tremonti with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups -- Line 6 Helix Rack using Ownhammer Impulses -- Universal Apollo Twin -- Presonus Studio One 3 My Band | The Partisan Component https://thepartisancomponent.bandcamp... https://fanlink.to/TQv The Lyric Video https://youtu.be/J8kvTUp9Pgo

  14. Hey Guys, I got a request for a Keith Merrow / Alluvial tone and I was inspired. I can't say it's spot on but it sounds pretty good to my ears. The patch uses the Line 6 Badonk amp model into an Ownhammer OH 412 ENG 12C+V30 JS IR. The guitar is a PRS SE 277 loaded with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups. Everything was recorded with the Line 6 Helix Rack into the Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo into Presonus Studio One 3.

  15. Does anyone have an idea about how the values for IR Low Cut, High Cut, and Level correlate between Helix and Powercab? Example: Helix Level = -18 - +6 Powercab = 000-127 or Helix Low/High Cut = off- 20 Powercab = 000=127 Also, can the Helix actually change the presets (not IR's) in the Powercab? If so, how?

  17. I have all the Freeman packs, Mega pack I think is the best pack. Try his starter pack, its cheap and it will give you a good idea of what you are in for with the rest of them.

  20. Well.. that's interesting. I am still like 4 years new to effect pedal world, though I have been playing professionally for about 25 years. Used to be, I would run straight into my 68 twin with reverb, occasional tremolo, and that was enough pizazz for me. Then I started delving a little a few years back, and wound up getting really sucked into the land of digital effects. I knew I was never going to be a guitar player who lugged around a complex pedal board with 10 different pedals attached to it. Way to much to maintain, so the idea of an all in one box has always appealed to me, even if I can just find 3-4 additional tones to tuck into my belt for when needed. My guitar into my vintage twin, is already tone heaven. I have no idea what year tube screamer I played that hooked me. It was one of those green ones though for sure. I liked the effect, cuz it created this amazing sustain with very little 'distortion'. It was almost as clean sounding as just my guitar into amp, and yet I could hang on one note for 2-3 bars, and my tone would not slowly dissolve on me. This was straight awesome sauce, and is a definite tool I don't want to go without. Anyways, I appreciate the education... Makes sense to me that the tube screamer I played may be of a different era, and that the Zoom G5 was closer to that than whatever year/make the Helix is modeled after. All I know, is that for the brief few hours that I was able to mess with the helix, I was unable to achieve that tone I was after. I am definitely, in no way a 'brand happy' player. I go with what sounds good to my ears and could care less what it's called. I'll look forward to trying with the minotaur when the new Helix arrives.

  21. Nice to see a expression pedal mod! While those Mission pedal look very nice I think they are about at least 50% more expensive than they should be. I'm gonna buy a vox or crybaby wah off ebay for £30 and put a 10k pot in it.
