  1. What's really hysterical about this is the amount of discussion it's generated! Over on Gearpage, two or three threads have started and been shut down by the moderators. One was a poll, where the winner was "not buying, but not offended either. Different strokes...". Not everyone gets the humor, some people want everyone to know how PC they are, others how little they care about being PC. Meanwhile, a band I'd never heard of (and who some say are pretty good, if you like comedy and 80s hair metal), got a TON of free publicity. It'll be interesting to see if they actually sell a bunch of pedals. They probably will, if for no other reason than as collectibles. My bet is that it's nothing but another TS with funny paint. I'm on my way over to YouTube to find out if they're any good, should be good for a laugh at least..... EDIT: OK, so, the show I watched was from their current "Lower the Bar" tour. I won't try to describe it, I couldn't do it justice. Just a couple of comments: 1) It's no wonder that the critics are NOT AMUSED! 2) They're both fine musicians and excellent performers. Their audience (boys AND girls) loved every minute, and both they and the band were fully engaged with each other the whole time. And when I say "fully engaged", that's exactly what I mean. 3) I laughed my a$$ off, and was not offended. It's comedy. For $200 I won't be buying one of their pedals, but I hope they sell LOTS!

  5. How offended am I? The answer is "none". None more offended...;) (without emojis, you'll all just have to imagine the "Harrumph!" and angry storm-off). Gotta go... so many injustices, so little time. Anybody seen my cape? ;)

  6. I mean, who WOULDN'T be offended by people who get offended by products created specifically to be offensive to people who are easily (even RIGHTEOUSLY) offended by people who make a living from being offensive? I think I'm offended by that....

  7. It can’t be any good - it doesn’t go up to eleven!

  8. I hadn’t heard of this, but if you asked me to imagine a Steel Panther pedal it would be exactly that. Who could possibly expect anything different? I think it’s hilarious. I wonder what cheeky name they’d come up with for the Helix model?

  11. Yes. Line 6 screwed up and they should make it right. If there is even a chance that someone's unit shipped to them with out of spec parts it should be replaced. I don't think OP is in the wrong for wondering if the unit he paid his hard earned money on was sold to him in a faulty state.

  12. Thank you to the support team for explaining the purpose of the "ring" on the ¼" plug on the G10. Your comments clarifies everything for me. Before I received your advice, I had already decided to build an adaptor to address the problem. My "work-around" solution (which works perfectly) is to use a "stereo" ¼" female socket that is connected to a male ¼" plug using mono shielded cable. I connected the respective tip to tip connectors and the sleeve to sleeves. Using a "stereo" female socket ensures that the [shorter] earth internal connector / contact arm touches only the earth sleeve part on the G10 (and does not make any contact with the "ring" - being the recharging contact) so the internal electronics / charging of the G10 are not activated. This adaptor then gives a standard mono guitar lead circuit. (without interfering with /activating the charging "ring" on the G10). Problem solved! cbarillow (iknowathingortow) - you may like to add this to your list of known things.

  13. You may also use the Helix's Stereo headphone output jack with the appropriate adapter cable to go from the TRS 1/4" (Stereo) to L & R RCA plugs as your receiver requires. Alternatively, you may also use Helix's FX Output Jacks (L&R) with TS 1/4" cables to RCA, however, you will need to insert a Stereo FX Block in your signal path to route the signal output (or redifine one of Helix's Output Blocks). If you use other than the Helix's headphones output, you may define the Output and FX Block levels as Line vs Instrument via Helix's Global Settings Options.

  14. Yes - That analogue in should work. use line level out of the Helix. (I expect the analogue in to be for a CD or DVD) Obviously start with the volume down low. This will be basically FRFR - so you will need high and low cuts - check out the threads on that - and use your ears as you might need to EQ a bit more if your amp and speakers have really full on bass and high accentuation. (typical for low end HiFi amp and speaker combinations) Obviously your HiFi speakers have their limits too - but if you don't run it too loud it should all be fine. It helps to start with an amp you know - so you can tell when it's sounding right.
