  1. I do envy the Arizona lawn, especially as I look out on this lovely Saturday with a strong desire to mess with my tones, but a nagging cricket in my mind pointing out how bad the front lawn looks. Also, just a word of warning to people. As soon as 2.8 drops I'm starting a 2.9 thread each week in the hopes that I can be the next "update thread" with 4 million replies. It is quite an honor when you think about it.

  2. There is no need to go to TGP to see the feature list.... it's posted as a "sticky" thread at the top of these forums.

  4. It's a turn key solution for HX owners. The products you buy through marketplace work with the HX series you don't have to weed through a potential endless structure to find the ones that do work with the Helix. The protected system serves two purposes.... It keeps someone from buying from L6 then distributing it for free around the net... and in turn that protects L6's agreements with it's vendors on marketplace. For you and I, buying the original formats from the original vendor might be fine, but for some... having a simplified "turn key" solution makes perfect sense.

  5. From my direct experience, a VP Jr. with a mono patch cable in the output jack, leading to the exp. input of the Helix should work. I wonder if you need to roll the potentiometer backwards a bit in the pedal. It may have slipped against the string at some point. Also, does your pedal have a taper switch inside? You might try tweaking it, if so. Good luck!

  6. 83.9%... they put it in sky writing over sunny Calabasas just yesterday. Didn't you see it all over CNN? May as well ask for the results of his prostate biopsy...

  7. The reverb mix thing only affected the HX reverbs, not the Legacy reverbs. The HX reverbs were introduced in the beginning of 2018, so that won’t have any effect on his presets.

  8. I’ve spent a decent amount of money on various IRs. As of now I’ve gone back to the stock cabs. if you spend a bit time tweaking you’ll figure out some basic concepts that tend to correlate across the various cabs. But at the end of the day, I find a get a more defined tone than with the IRs after your done dialling out the fizz on both. I’m definitely loving them and being able to set up dual cabs with one block opens up a lot of flexibility.

  9. I had no idea they were doing this on the Marketplace, how lame. I don’t really buy that it makes things any easier on the end user, the manual tells you exactly what kind of .wav files Helix wants to see. You just go in and use those. I sure hope that the IRs on the Marketplace are significantly discounted, otherwise you’re paying full price for limited functionality.

  10. Thanks,"again".This definitely does make sense,i would be getting to deep into a hole I may not be able to get out of,i hadn't realised Native had to be part of a recording software set up. I guess I will have to do a sale or return deal(don't like the idea, but),I actually do have access to a really good playback system in the form of a "DEQX"controlled 3 way Hi-Fi system, which can play back at high levels, but I would want the playback to be Guitar suitable stage gear. I wonder if you mind me asking a simple basic question about HX stomp that i'm trying to figure out as we "speak" ,which is does Stomp only allow playback of a Single Amp & not Dual Amps as is the case for the full Helix units Cheers & thanks for your help & time.

  11. Get the Helix. This shouldn't even be a discussion. The PODHD is at the end of it's life and is old technology. What you're getting ready to buy will last for many years. Look at how long the XT lasted for you. Wait and save up for the Helix.

  12. So, its been over a month, and probably time for a lawn mower update. The parts for my Honda HRX217 came in and I got the mower running again. I found out it runs better on 92 octane, so bought a gallon of that. I just mowed the lawn yesterday (its growing faster now), and while I was mowing and emptying the bag over and over, I started thinking that it would be nice to tear out my lawn and put in sort of a natural meadow. You know, wildflowers and native grasses and that kind of sheet. I figure it would be good for the planet and animals, and I wouldn't have to mow as much. Sort of like letting it go to weeds, but really pretty weeds. If the neighbors complained I could tell them I'm just trying to do my part. And since the Helix update isn't out yet, a project like that would give me something to do for the next couple of weeks, plus it would be good healthy work. Win win. So I went to the Battle Ground public library (they just remodeled with new carpeting and paint, and it came out pretty good) and checked out a book called "How to Create a Wildlife Garden." I started reading it in bed last night to look for ideas, and I swear the font size is only about 6 pt. Really tiny type! Even the pictures are tiny. The book is like 250 pages, and there is no way I can read this book. So now I'm thinking of getting back on Amazon to see what I can find. The weather is really nice here today.

  15. The Q Filter in the Legacy category might come close to what you want. It has a lowpass mode and the response is smooth, but I don't know if it will go high enough for you...give it a try with the following settings, and vary Freq with the pedal. Because it's fairly high gain, you might need to put a Vol block in front of it and kick the signal down about -6 dB. Hope this helps.
