  1. Well, there's no such producr as a "Helix LTE Ultra", so I'm going to assume you're just talking about the Helix LT... The LT and the Floor sound exactly the same. First, I'd say without having both units in front of you to actually compare, basing comparisons entirely on your memory is shaky. Your brain does a very bad job at recalling specific sounds even after a few seconds, so after a few months or so, all bets are off. The other thing I'd say is that there are a number of Global Settings that affect the way the units sound, so it's entirely possible that some of those are different between the two units (although, the Global Settings should come through when you restore from backup). Did you do a factory reset prior to loading your backup?

  2. I didn't say you had a problem. I'm glad you don't. And dealing with it in your own way - sure, I don't think anyone expects otherwise. Shedding light on issues is certainly allowed and appreciated. Not sure where you got the impression it wasn't allowed. If it wasn't allowed, a moderator would have come along and deleted your thread. Seems like there's a failure to communicate clearly here. If I can attempt summarize what your want out of this ... and you can correct me. 1. You wanted to shed light on a problem. You did so effectively - thanks to the help of fellow forum members who took the time to follow your instructions which take many hours to execute. 2. You don't want any help or solutions to it. You didn't state that up front. 3. You want it to be known that you brought this up to Line 6 support, and they - I'm a bit confused on this part - they acknowledged the problem but then told you to go pound sand? Or they couldn't reproduce the problem? I'm not sure.

  3. And more than one of us did confirm your preset had a problem. Then I built your preset from scratch in both Native, and on the Unit itself. Both presets DID NOT suffer the same problem. Those are my findings... as you have clearly stated, my opinions were not asked for so I'm sorry I provided those without your request! Most of us are enthusiastic Helix owners/users, not fan boi's... not part of a fan club. Some are hobbyists, some weekend warrior, and some are professional musicians. We help those that have problems with the unit. We do not have a problem confirming a bug... and most of us here admitted your preset contains some sort of bug, regardless of how it got introduced into the system. As "users" we like to help people through there agony... and we find ways to "successfully" work around those problems (even when they don't ask for help)... but we also defend the unit from ridiculous accusations and claims.

  4. OH YES!!! THAT would be really great (and i don't see any problems with implementing them). I miss that feature on a regular basis for: - Sometimes in live situations i get a weak output signal (or non at all) from the Helix ... and it would be a much simpler and faster way to finding the cause. - esp. checking my guitar output level - since the output of my active pickups tend to 'fade' (one guitar) oder just 'black out' completely (my other) when the batteries dicharge. - Level management via different presets - esp. with purchased/downloaded presets; it's just annoying to step through a sophisticated preset (from someone else and a lot of snapshots) on the search of the ear blasting volume setting.... And as coda mentioned: It seems so unneccessary to leave them out. Bye Simon

  5. Oh, I notice it uses an IR too - you might need to change that to a cab or an IR you have........

  6. Are you trying to listen to the Firehawk audio output using your Bluetooth headphones? I don't believe that's possible. Firehawk uses a Bluetooth connection for digital data commands between the Firehawk device and the Firehawk Remote App - an editor app running on a mobile device (e.g. iPhone). There is no Bluetooth digital audio output from Firehawk, which is what your headphones are expecting. To listen to Firehawk using headphones you need to use standard wired headphones connected to the rear panel Phones jack.

  7. Yep, we've all been playing with incredibly awful guitar tones since the Helix came out because we don't have meters. It's not a usable device right now, and it's also not reliable enough for gigging because one patch had a bug that had several easy workarounds.

  8. If I'm understanding you correctly I think you may be over complicating things here. I too have noted the differences in various IR outputs, but I generally compensate for them in the same way I compensate for any difference in volumes of my patches by simply adjusting the amp model's channel volume. In the end all that matters is the output signal level needs to be consistent across patches regardless of different amps or IRs. I personally can't perceive any difference in the finished tone with this approach and it's surely less complicated and easier to manage and maintain my patches if I adjust the volume of my patches in a consistent way, and Line 6 has assured us many time that the channel volume won't have any effect on tone.

  9. I hope Line 6 keeps coming out with their own custom amp model designs. Their current ones are well respected, which makes a great foundation for releasing more. I’d honestly rather see this than see more models of existing amps. I’d love to see more of the unique stuff you can do with modeling that you wouldn’t see in physical tube amps.

  10. That's nice of you. But if you read my post, I never asked for anybody's help. That's a very important clue to look for (if you want to help someone). Maybe that can explain your frustration? It can be a good thing to to take on in life. But if you want, I can clerify what my goal with the post was. I know that the ONLY people that are able to investgate and correct faults in the Helix is the staff at Line 6. But valuable clues are given to them by the amount of people reporting back to them. What you say, and what I say, doesn't mean anything in itself. I wanted to notice other users so they can have it in mind. If that gives more reports to Line 6 about this problem, or things that are similar, then Line 6 have a clue to follow. That is one one of the good things about a forum. It is also a good thing to have a forum to ask ""what do I do now?" But as I said, then I will ask for it. The loudest speaking people in this forum gives me the impression that this is a "fan-club" more than an technical forum. In a fan-club you should expect to be ridiculed when having diverting thoughts. In a technical forum like this, divirting thoughts should be welcome. If those voices are silenced, then it will be a loss. But when I see Line 6 staff joining in on the spitting in this post, it gives me concerns. (That makes me think of my second part of my post, where I talk about Line 6' handeling of my report. It could be something like "Thank you! Yes, we confirm. We'll take it with us. Good bye!) But in this case (in this forum), as I've said, it was actually a benefit. But in the long run, I think not. But obviously I overrated this platform. But I believe a lot of nice and interested people read my post. What they think and do about it doesn't concern me at all. I just gave voice to my experience.
