  1. Either your 1/8" plug is not making contact with all 3 conductors in the 1/4" adapter or you have the wrong adapter. The adapter should have a tip, ring, and sleeve: If it only has 2 conductors, you'll either get a mono signal, no signal, or lots of hum depending on how far you plug it in: Adapters are cheap in any case, so that's where I'd start.

  3. First off, you need to download and install the Line 6 driver. Check that your recording program is using the POD HD and it’s ASIO driver as the audio input and output device. Connect your speakers / headphones to the POD outputs. After arming a stereo track for recording in your recording program, select the POD HD USB channels 1/2 as the Record Input Source. Note: The Line 6 driver is required for Windows computers. If you are using a Mac you may or may not need a driver depending on the age/OS of the Mac.

  4. Weird. Have you tried doing a factory reset (hold down FS9 & FS10 while powering up)? Then do a Restore from Backup once you’ve done that.

  7. Hi, What you have encountered is an over zealous “Gatekeeper” that is inbuilt to the Mac OS. Read this, which will save me having to type out the same old thing one more time. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491 Oh, yeah, what “crusininon2” states above is technically correct - with the latest update you should not need the Line 6 updater. Although, when you do the latest update (v2.92) using the HX Edit install routine, you will probably find that it is actually running on top of the Line 6 Updater app. If you have any grief trying to update through HX Edit, simply fire up the Updater and do it through that app. In fact to avoid any issues with the Line 6 servers, download the latest software to your drive and do a local install. During the update do not allow your computer to go to sleep, in fact do not have anything else open or running on your Mac. Hope this helps/makes sense.

  8. I'm curious how these soundmen would handle it if they had a mic whose signal level was weaker than a mic on a different channel. Maybe then they'd find their way to the gain/trim knob on the channel on the mixer....which is why it's there.

  9. The reply above will help, but you no longer need L6 Updater anyway. You can now update Helix firmware directly through the latest version of HX Edit.

  10. Mac's security and privacy Settings. You need to allow installation. And get the latest Link6 Updater.pkg before you allow installation.

  11. I know you can turn the flashing ring around the Tap Tempo button on/off. But is there a way to change its color from the default RED to some other color. If not, I'm returning this piece of crap. (LMAO - over my dead body).
