  1. Hi everyone, I have an issue with Helix Native where I'm hearing a noticeable 'hiss' where there should be silence and even over played notes and chords. As you can imagine, this issue is driving me to the point where I don't even want to play through it anymore! I am still awaiting response to my service ticket. As far as I'm aware my gain staging is correct. I will attach an audio file to this post to clarify. My interface is a Mackie Profx12, gain @ 3o'clock peaks at 0dBVU. My DAW is Cubase 10 Elements and levels in Helix peak at about -18dBFS. I'm absolutely baffled...Has anyone else experienced this? Did I get a bad plugin? I've looked everywhere and no one else seems to have this problem! Thanks in advance, Liam HelixExamples.mp3

  2. I've attached a sample preset. Path A is the Placater Clean panned full LEFT. Path B is the Placater Dirty Panned full RIGHT. Though the paths are separate, and use separate outputs, they both use the same input. The LEFT output goes to the amp you're using for CLEAN, the RIGHT output goes to the amp you're using for DIRTY. I've used CABs since IRs don't export. Just replace the CAB blocks with IRs. There's other ways to do this, but this is the most straightforward. MrDan679.hlx

  3. Lots of questions here. I will try to unpack it as best as I can. First of all, you are going to have to do some reading. Question: have you read the manual? Wifi Do a search in this forum and there are tons of threads about this. Look for the ones with lots of replies. Here's one you can read and see if it helps you: The manual covers it on page 82. https://line6.com/data/6/0a06434c12bb52431be9dd7c2/application/pdf/StageScape M20d Advanced Guide - English ( Rev D ).pdf Mixer as a Soundcard You WILL have latency issues with it as the soundcard for your DAW. But for hearing your computer, you need to have a laptop / computer icon on the stage. It has internal 'inputs' on 17/18. In the manual on page 88, the first setup example shows a computer on the stage. https://line6.com/data/6/0a06434c12bb52431be9dd7c2/application/pdf/StageScape M20d Advanced Guide - English ( Rev D ).pdf Your Question 3 • skip Your Question 4 The PodXT should be into the mixer. The 'computer' doesn't run the PodXT as it is an independent device with it's own soundcard. Do not plug the XT into the computer. JUst plug its outputs into the mixer and then the computer processes your drums. The manual is your friend. https://line6.com/data/6/0a06434c12bb52431be9dd7c2/application/pdf/StageScape M20d Advanced Guide - English ( Rev D ).pdf

  4. Here , same action I updated my g10, both transmitter and receiver to the new firmware per the security reasons, and now it’s not charging, base is white for a while, transmitter blinking red, seems charging but after some time base goes red again and the transmitter seems to discharge until not blinking any more , please help! Are you releasing another firmware update? I just opened a ticket, very disappointed, not a cheap unit and it’s sad to see it ruined for a fw update

  6. I run into that with Studio One 4x using an UA Apollo interface. What I did was just mute the audio in "Console" software, on that input channel (when input monitoring was on in the DAW software), so I could hear Helix and not hear Helix twice set 5 miliseconds or so apart! So look at Cubase Elements 9 again, read and search in google about how to turn off input monitoring in this and still record audio on that track/input. Hope this helps a little.

  7. Pros of 212 vs. dual 112s Less weight / easier transport Smaller footprint / less space on floor/stage Second input can be used as a monitor Slightly cheaper Pros of dual 112s vs 212: Better stereo effect If traveling, option to take only 1, even easier transport than 212

  8. @phil_m Please Phil, it looks like you're really devoted to make us all feel like dumb. There's a serious problem with this firmware, let's be honest at least. How can you explain that just after the upgrade, the battery life drops from 8 hours to 2 hours for most of us HERE (I don't known all the 144k owners, I know...), and that some units are just bricked? I have bought my G10s on November 2019, so 4 months ago. It worked well with good battery life. And just after a firmware upgrade, it's just kind of useless. This unit is not that cheap, and we have bought it based on advertised specifications. So please, do not try to excuse line6 for this very poor firmware update. Because, it's a poor firmware update. I will send my unit back, once the covid-19 things are more relax. But for the moment, I am just very disappointed, and I just hope a firmware upgrade soon. I can live with 6 hours battery life for the sake of safety. 2 hours is just damn ridiculous. Also, I encourage everybody to open support tickets of course. I have opened one, and posted my answers here. I have opened another ticket today to get a firmware downgrade.

  9. For anyone else that followed this, it looks like Gator has this option (Gator Cases GTOURHELIXFLOOR Helix Floor Case W/ Wheels) out now too which looks super nice if you're a HELIX Floor only user: http://www.proaudiostar.com/gator-cases-gtourhelixfloor-helix-floor-case-w-wheels.html?utm_source=Google_Shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImqPS-7jm5gIVD9vACh2d0QlcEAQYASABEgIlJPD_BwE

  10. Give this a try if you haven't already. If so, try and manually download the drivers at line6.com and install that way

  11. I have posted tons of Helix clips here, on The Gear Page and in the Facebook group. Every clip in this playlist was done with the Helix (or Helix Native). And that's not even all of them.

  12. You do understand that demanding "proof" of something that (by definition) cannot be quantified, or otherwise measured in any definitive/ objective way, is like to trying to pick up a turd by the clean end, right? Never mind... don't answer that, we've all wasted enough time already. You'll "win" the argument by default, because what you're demanding cannot be done. It's a half-clever (yet thoroughly obnoxious) means of seeking external validation for an already fully-formed opinion. And while it makes for some festive arguments, in the end it achieves nothing and helps no one. Your Congressman would be proud.... But what the hell, I'll bite....I posted the same clips a while back in a previous iteration of this retarded discussion. So as long as we're all intent on taking yet another ride on the stupidmobile, here ya go: Listen to This Really Needs A Title by cruisinon2 #np on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/user-100603322/this-really-needs-a-title Listen to Here Goes Nuthin' by cruisinon2 #np on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/user-100603322/here-goes-nuthin-final-edit Love it, hate it... either way, it's no skin off my a$$.

  13. Logic is logic my friend. You're just wanting to set me up for a game where I post something and no matter how hard I work on it you say, "I hate that." I didn't fall for those games in 3rd grade when a friend of mine preferred Caddyshack to Ghostbusters, and I'm not dumb enough to fall for it now. Find someone else to hurt on the teeter totter.

  15. Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that Creation has a new pedalboard line called the Aero Series. My Helix fits perfectly on the 32x16 with room for more inside their Flight Case. Even fits with them sending the extra foam lift inserts to create storage space underneath for cables. https://creationmusiccompany.com/collections/aero-series/Aero Just thought I would pass along as I know this was huge win for me. I'm not 100% finished with the build but I believe I'm going to keep everything under 50 lbs. too.

  16. Sure here ya go. This is the best example I have of using the Pitch Glide to downtune to Eb. I don't hear any warbling in this track do you?? I'm tellin' you guys it works. I use it all the time live in concert. http://www.glenndelaune.com/1MetalChurch.mp3

  17. the important bits of line6 software can be downloaded here: http://line6.com/software/ highly recommend that you do so... since the cd's tend to be out of date. the rundown line6 monkey: updates line6 software and drivers pod farm: the plugin or standalone modeling software the other non-line6 disks ableton - recording software reason - midi software line6 does not have those for download.... however i suspect you can probably download them directly from the web and use the keys that line6 gave you.

  18. The master volume and blend are one knob. You click it to switch modes... the LEDs are white when in Blend mode and red in volume mode.
