  2. The best thing to do is to post a request on IdeaScale and see if others vote for it. You should check through to make sure the nobody else has requested the same thing because that would divide the vote. Go here: https://line6.ideascale.com/a/ideas/top

  3. I would try updating to 2.92 using Line 6 Updater. 2.54 is a really old firmware at this point.

  4. Hi I'm not a Powercab user yet but I found thouse videos from Jason Sadites that explain this well (I use similar way to make Helix patches with good result). There is four videos but I think if you look at the first you get the feeling how to make/gainstage the patches and then look at the third you see how he apply this to the Powercab. First video, basic on the Helix Second video, a deeper dive Third video, how to do this on the Powercab Fourth video, another explanation of details with focus on why not unity gain or more what it meens in context with Helix. Hope it make sense Take care.. /Per

They are in above link but there is mor if you like to dig diper - https://www.youtube.com/c/JasonSadites/videos Regarding MIDI - As an addon to the Helix manual I think one of the better guides are this on on The GearPage - https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/the-unofficial-helix-midi-guide.1954544/ Take care... /Per

  8. In brief: You need to use Command Center to assign the proper MIDI messages to the switches. CC#s 49-54 = FS1-FS6. Snapshot Changes are accomplished by setting the Instant Commands to Send the Snapshot MIDI - CC#69 with values of 0 (snapshot 1) to 3 (snapshot 4). In Snapshot 1, set IC 1 to CC#69 with Value 0. In Snapshot 2 set IC 1 to CC#69 with Value 1. etc. In Global Settings>MIDI/TapTempo you need to set USB MIDI, PC TX and PC RX to ON. Then, when you record, record both an Audio (Drums) and a MIDI track. Playback will send the proper MIDI signals back to the HXFX, in sync with the recorded Drum Track.

  9. Just gotta say what a genius on the guitar. Technique is just unbelievable. What a loss! There might be some fairly dynamic changing of effect, e.g. reverb/delay parameters(as well as others), possibly partly in post-production, I think I am hearing multi-layered guitars in here, at least in spots. Although it could just be his phenomenal whammy skills it almost sounds like a synth guitar patch was layered on in some places. If so you may get close but it's gonna be difficult to impossible to get all those sounds matched with a single guitar track. Could swear I hear some phaser in there as well, particularly on the picked rhythm riffs starting at 0:27secs in and also in the long spacey outro. Never quite sure what-all I'm hearing with Eddie though. If anyone could do this in one take it would have been him. A wizard!

  10. May take more of a deep dive if this is a conflict with an updated Windows driver but does this happen with your HX device disconnected from the USB? Although it will not connect the HX Edit app should still start. If so, it might be worth checking your USB connection, and potentially swapping out or at least re-seating the USB cable and trying your other USB inputs. Also, sounds like you reinstalled a couple of times. Did you uninstall HX Edit before last reinstalling and did you leave all the checkboxes selected when you reinstalled? HX Edit version matched to the firmware? Probably not the issue but just in case, make sure you don't have the Updater running when you start HX Edit. Lastly if you bring up the Windows Event Viewer and look at the "Application and Services Log" it may have some clues you can research. Restarting Windows might not hurt either if you have not done that yet.

  12. It's on the Cosmos Echo and it dampens the change of the time parameter. When you change time with ramp @0 it will follow instantly, @10 only slowly.
