  3. That is a good argument if one part of my setup will fail, thats true. I dont use mic and so on... I only play E-Guitar Blues and Shred. Have 2 Adam Audio Studio speaker and a good pair of Headphones for mastering. And I dont plan to expand because I have everything I need. I will think about but I tend to sell... Also the babyface has still a great 2nd hand value. But it is not easy to decide, because the babyface is really really good. Btw: I feel the Soundoutput from the helix is better than the babyface. (it is subjectiv, just my perception)

  4. When returns are set to Line level the Impedance is 10kOhm and 1MOhm at instrument level. 10kOhm input impedace massively reduces the resonance peak of the passive pickups circut and line level is 8dB higer.

  5. All, Please note, Line 6 released an update (3.02) yesterday which specifically targets this issue. I've not yet tried it, but will do so in the coming hours. Regards Jack.

  7. Sorry; I forgot to connect the dots for folks who can't read my mind ;-) If you already have wired phones/buds and aren't looking specifically for headphones as much as for a low latency wireless monitoring solution, there was this idea of using a cheap guitar transmitter rig in this way to fix the latency problem. I saw the new unit that runs in stereo and has 3.5mm plugs and thought that would be even easier & better for this. My comment about active pickups was I figured they more closely matched the output of line level sources you'd feed into this thing when using as a wireless "In Ear Monitor" device. I'll post when I get them. In a new thread. ;-)

  8. Welcome, fafricano - You did not mention what version of macOS. For High Sierra (10.13) and newer, Apple is very shirty about signed drivers, which Line 6 are not. Before directly installing the driver, open System Preferences>Security and watch for a red alert that you will need to accept for driver installation to proceed.

  9. There is no reason to have a 7 string guitar... unless you intend on playing a 7 string guitar. I will never play "chugga chugga" metal. Nor will I ever play classical music (real classical, not classical written for guitar). Therefore, do I need a 7, 8, or 9 string? Of course not. Nor do you want to throw off your technique. As to the buying guitar part.... I currently have an unknown number of guitars. I mean, my accountant does have a list, complete with purchase date and price. But without checking the list, I have no idea. And now that I am running to the same locations all the time instead of touring all over, I actually have x-amount stashed in certain spots instead of having them all in one or two locations and taking them with me as I travel. Now I just fly to "point X", and I have a house, car, clothes, and gear already there waiting for me. Guitars are like women. The more, the merrier. You can never have too many at one time and there is no crime in having one for a little bit and then getting rid of it.

  10. There's no way to edit Global Settings from HX Edit (other than the Global EQ), but you can back them up and restore them.
