  1. Use two instances of the Heir Apparent block and assign each to its own switch. It’s functionally the same as one Tone Sovereign block.

  2. From the manual, pg 37 1. Within the Signal Flow window, select the block which includes the parameter you wish to control via snapshots. For this example, we’ll choose the Litigator Amp+Cab block to control its Drive parameter. 2. In the Edit tab, right-click on the Amp’s Drive parameter and choose the Snapshots option. Assigning the Drive parameter to the Snapshots controller 3. You’ll see a little camera icon (at the left), and the parameter’s value (at the right) appear in white with brackets to indicate the snapshots controller assignment. 4. Now you can simply load any snapshot and set this Drive slider to the desired value. The value is independently stored and recalled with each snapshot. Each preset can have up to 64 controller assignments, including parameters con- trolled by snapshots. Remember to save your tone if you want your assignments to be permanently stored with the preset! 5. All existing snapshots assignments appear within the Automation/Controller Assign tab’s Assignment List. If desired, you can right-click on the assignment here and choose Clear Assignment to remove it. Once a snapshots assignment is created, any changes to the assigned parame- ter’s value are instantly stored with the current snapshot. These stored values are recalled when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as you last left them per snapshot.

  3. Not sure I understand - your LT doesn't have a MIC input. If you want to use a MIC with Helix as AI you'll need the Floor model. Since the Floor model also has SPDIF you'll be able to compare your SPDIF Pre and the Helix Mic Input. The SPDIF IN should work fine for that purpose. My question would be - why spend the extra $ on the Helix Floor? For the same $ or thereabouts you can get a proper AI with multiple Channel Inputs, SPDIF and ADAT expansion capabilites, and it'll likely have as good or better preamps as Helix and definitely better latency if you're processing anything ITB.

  4. If space is a premium in your preset, I would find the minimal setting on channel 1 to allow audio to past through and then dial in channel 2. Not perfect, but might be the only other workaround if you can't afford a 2nd block.

  5. Sounds like a very useful feature if I apply it correctly. Thanks again I really appreciate it

  6. Dynamic split's main advantage is to be able to turn yourself down for rhythm, and turn yourself up for lead without pressing anything on the Helix itself. I don't have any use for it at the moment, but if I were on a wireless in some Cirque du Soleil show (lol), I could turn down my volume knob to 5 and have my rhythm sound; turn up the volume knob to 10 and have my lead sound. So something like: dry medium crunch vs. delay + reverb + EQ + existing path.

  7. How are you physically hooked up to the amp? Effects loop? Direct input? Coming out of which output port on the Helix?

  9. Hi, A fresh install usually overwrites previous versions - at least it always has on all the Macs I’ve ever owned right back to 1988. Ensure that your Helix Global setting is 44.1kHz also, because you’re using that as your playback engine. The Mac and Helix need to match sample rates. Have you checked this? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/audio-midi-setup/ams59f301fda/mac or this Hope this helps/makes sense.

  10. Oh, yes, that’s quite true, and not what I was intending to be the the point of my comment. As we are all aware - there are no right, or wrong ways, to utilise this digital modelling stuff. Each to their own, and whatever floats your boat, so to speak. It simply struck me as quite bizarre for someone to invest in this technology and then deliberately, or maybe unintentionally, choose not use it to it’s full advantage. I’ve been my using my Helix for several years now and I reckon that I’ve still not reached it’s full potential. The thing is astonishing, but if I just wanted half a dozen previous/earlier generation effects blocks in one unit, then there would be many, many other roads to travel. I am constantly amazed by some of the questions that constantly crop up in this and other forums, but it could just be me. ;-)

  11. Just so the OP understands.... the choice of LEGACY effects is not the reason he can't sort out the timing.... they have the same timing options as the HELIX effects do. Even with those old effects, you can still choose a fixed time or a time subdivision that is linked to tempo.

  12. disregard question. for some reason I thought there wasn't a 44.1 kHz setting on the helix, and that it started at 48 kHz. gotta stop w/the edibles when I do this stuff ;)

  13. You also need to update POD Go Edit to version 1.30. You actually have done that first before updating the hardware.

  14. If you're using USB, the HX is your soundcard, so, no. You can route streaming apps (Youtube, Spotify, .wav files) to your computer's soundcard and use a small mixer to combine the sound with the HX, with your speakers and headphones attached to the mixer if the speaker's connectors are RCA, but there's no way I know of to get USB to the computer's soundcard, other than maybe some specialized internal routing software? Computer speakers don't really work all that well for guitar. A good bookshelf system can sound OK (I have a Sony system with 6" spkrs and a 10" sub that I use in the office with Native), but you probably want a small set of monitor speakers, something like the Yamaha HS5 or Rokit5 at least for decent sound.
