  1. May it was working and something got loose during transport. Asking whether the screen worked after their repair doesn't cost you something.

  2. Hi, As you previously had a completely dead unit, you have no idea if the screen had been damaged by the lightening strike, but I would have expected the unit should have been thoroughly tested before being returned to you. Having said that, it might be worth talking to the Line 6 repair shop, because they may have a warranty on the repair, and be willing to check out the problem. Don’t be tempted to try to fix it yourself, as everything else works correctly, it may be as simple as a bad connection. Hope this helps/makes sense.

  3. If you have done a system backup on your last upgrade you can do a restore and just select the User 1 set. There may be some versions somewhere up on the net but these presets change with each new update. If you have setlists that are really important to you it's pretty easy to just do and export of it to your file system whenever you change it so you can restore it anytime.

  4. Since the firmware seems to work normally I'm 99% sure for it to be a hardware problem.

  5. Just overwrite it with your backup. You don't have a backup? Um... Before you start re-creating your lost presets, RENAME the setlist something other than USER1. After you've created a new preset, backup the setlist - SETLIST>EXPORT. Now create another preset. Backup. Repeat 128 times. Auto-Save would be nice, but we do what we gotta do. My backups are in my DOCUMENTS folder which is automatically backed up to OneDrive - "The Cloud". Backup to my backups.

  7. It sounds like you've done everything I would do to troubleshoot it. Did you test it at the shop that serviced it to verify that they actually fixed it and it works? Either way you're entirely at the mercy of the shop, who can claim it worked when you picked it up and you broke it. Basically, you have two choices. Take it back to the shop and see what they say. Contact support and see what they say. Unfortunately, I have seen many horror stories about local shop repairs. If mine ever breaks it will go to Line6 for service. I had a problem with mine shortly after I bought it (2016) and I had it back in under a week. If you're gigging, you DO have a backup, right? If not, believe it or not, you CAN gig with a lowly Spider or Mustang or Katana, all available used most anywhere (except maybe the Outback) CHEAP and probably available to rent until you get it back. Good Luck!

  8. If you're just toggling between two CC values (i.e. CC#14 0/127 for bypass on/off) or want to control a parameter with an expression pedal from the Stomp Command Center is your friend. That's easy. To toggle between Mercury7 presets within a HX Stomp preset you need snapshots: As per V3.15 Command Center works per snapshot. This means you can set up a footswitch to switch between snapshots in Stomp Mode. In those snapshots you can send up to 6 Instant Commands which you can program to be MIDI PC or CC messages. You can also deactivate blocks from reacting to snapshot changes which is what you might want to do so that only PC messages are sent and nothing else happens. Or you use snapshots as "presets in a preset": i.e. engage a tube screamer, a chorus and change the Mercury7 program at the same time. On a side note let's hope for a MIDI PC toggle option in Command Center as an update to make this stuff easier.

  11. The firmware remains at v 3.60. As noted by @PerS in the post above, v3.61 is a purely "Bug Fix" update to both HX Edit and Helix Native. HX Edit 3.61 Release Notes HX Edit 3.61 (released May 30, 2023) includes bug fixes and additional improvements, and is strongly recommended for all users. Customers on macOS Ventura 13.3.1(a) or later: This update must be downloaded from line6.com/software. A change in this version of macOS introduced an issue which causes HX Edit to no longer show available Firmware or HX Edit updates. This is resolved in HX Edit 3.61. Bug Fixes in 3.61 Updates would not appear as available for users on macOS Ventura version 13.3.1(a). EXP Bypass Toe Down Behavior parameter was reset to Heel Down when copy/pasting a preset, exporting/importing a preset, or restoring from a backup. Bass cabinets incorrectly displayed guitar microphone graphics. Other minor fixes and improvements. PLUS: Helix Native 3.61 Release Notes Helix Native (released May 30, 2023) includes bug fixes and additional improvements, and is strongly recommended for all users. Bug Fixes in 3.61 Bass cabinets incorrectly displayed guitar microphone graphics. Other minor fixes and improvements. Compatible OS: Mac OS X, macOS Sierra, macOS High Sierra, macOS Mojave, macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur, macOS Monterey, macOS Ventura
