  1. Now correct me if I'm wrong! The said pedal was based on Jeff Becks lead sound (the guv'nor is a nickname of his givens to him by Brian May. Mr May even did a song with the same title and Jeff gusting). With that said I would go for the vermin as Jeff loves the Rat.

But then again I could be completely wrong.

  2. Voting on an idea to helps someone out is not what Idea Scale is about. It's about getting some marketing feedback so they can prioritize their efforts. Campaigning for what YOU want doesn't actually reflect the realities of what others want and messes up the results. Ideas should stand on their own merits.

I do realise this, I was trying to humourous. Us brits hey ðŸ˜

  3. IdeaScale, my good man, IdeaScale. Otherwise, this happens:

Digital Igloo: Hey, we should add a vocal formant filter talk box type thing.

Everyone Else at Line 6: Huh? I've never heard that request before.

DI: Someone on the Line 6 forums asked about it.

    EEaL6: Yeah, sure they did.

I do believe there have been several ideascales for a talkbox effect. Just thought I would chance my hand with a naughty bribe 🙄

  4. Digital igloo, please can we have a vocal formant filter talkbox type thing pretty pretty please with sugar on top. Something like a Little Dipper 2.0! If you grant my wish I will ensure you get everything you want for Christmas, I have a deal with the big man 😉

  5. It's a big talking point on the forum. It works for some and not for others. Line 6 reps read the forum so will be aware, all you can do is hope it may get updated. I'm desperate for a formant filter but in the mean time use a EXH talking machine in the fx loop. We can't have everything, it will never meet ALL your needs, however, look at what it does offer, it's pretty amazing 😉

  6. Re: #4 variax input problems: what has worked for me is to change the input from multi or variax to guitar and then change back to multi or variax and re-do the variax parameters. Looks like something isn't being migrated properly and corrupts the block. The procedure I described seems to reset it.

This is ticketed and is a bug! It will be addressed on the next update!

  7. Unfortunately, i have sold my variax years ago, so i can not test this solution for you.

I really think it is not possible to do the "seagull" without 100% analogic gear....

I have done some experiences proving it's not possible while using only headphones.... even with a real wha and a real passive pickups with real amplifier....

I am a Gilmour fan since 25 years and since 25 years i have not found someone cleanly explaining me why a "top-down-wha" sound like this.....

It is a really "physic" phenomena (maybe between mics, speakers and induction...)

    So with a digital gear...

If your variax is a JT model with "real" pickups it may works with an analogic cable...

Please note i have tested with an axe equipped with EMG active pickups and the effect is still there but with less "control" (it sound more than a "larsen", or an "uncontrolled feedback" (still usable but in my opinion, very hard to manage in a gig)

If you are patient, i could try my wha in fx-loop to be sure but my pedal'is down (not cause of this experience but because a broken pot from a 15 years pedal)

    Tonbe continued.

Thank you friend. Let me know how you get along!

  8. I have tried the "seagull effect" a few month ago, it works well when plugged between guitar and the main input (guitar -> wha out / wha in -> helix)

but i remember it did not worked in the FX loop, (but in fact i'm not really sure).

By the way, my pedalboard has not exploded ;)

My wha model is GCB95 Dunlop (Classic Wha); Remember it will not work with "exotic wha" like Morley models.

    I use the VDI 😖
