  1. Can't you just tie any of the output or level parameters to a pedal? Multiple options really. Use one snapshot for your leads, tie any level parameter (even the final output bubble) to snapshots and boom you're done.
  2. Given how well electronics handle water I can't imagine playing outside is much of an issue either ;)
  3. Can see both sides.... but keep thinking after running through 7 blocks how much guitar are you even hearing? Lol That gives potentially: Comp, Dist, wah, pitch, mod, delay, reverb... and many other options, no wah for that song? Toss in something else! No pitch/octave needed? Again... toss in something else! And that's a whole lotta processing leading people to the next forum post: "why can't I cut through the mix?"
  4. If this would help see the scribble strips when playing a festival outside on a sunny day.... That would be beautiful! They are relatively useless on a sunny day. If its bright enough out I need to use my hand as shade just to confirm the unit is powered on.
  5. You're* Hehehe. Maybe line 6 could add a grammar block to automatically correct output variances.
  6. Isn't this what the instants are? I use those to control an rjm unit.
  7. A spectrum analyser that runs a progressive fletcher munson algorithm that works in conjunction with a measurement mic that can pick up any deviations, when we're "in the zone," to automatically apply proper frequency curves to help us 'cut' through the mix and sweeten the tone to...... eleven.
  8. Oh and I did put little round 3/8" spacers under the helix at each of the brackets to give it some room to breath underneath.
  9. Seismic audio ships internationally https://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/pages/shipping-policy And here's the case: https://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/collections/pedal-board-cases/products/34-inch-pedal-board-case
  10. I finished cleaning it up yesterday before the gig and added one of those magnetic kitchen cupboard latches the keep the plexiglass lid closed.
  11. You get 6" of height so there's plenty of room. I used a pretty strong adhesive, but I think I'm still just going to run some bolts through the straps and box for extra security. I just used brackets and little washers for the existing screws on the helix. Here's a pic. I do the same with the boss pedal. What's funny is it's a volume pedal, but being used as expression pedal #3 in the helix to control a volume pedal at the end of the effects chain so I don't need to run my signal through any extra cable. With the shure glxd, volume pedal and helix I needed a bare minimum of 32". This case worked out beautifully.
  12. The rockboard mod 2 worked out to be cheaper than the jacks I was going to drill out in the plexiglass. But.... I plugged everything in and it didn't work! Had to pull it apart and fix sloppy solder work on the pcb and the power was just a mess of losely disconnected quick connects smashed in. Ripped those off and soldered that as well.
  13. Thanks! Here's the case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0030V3FCG?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title Next thing I want to do is put some storage in the top for backup cables, picks, Campos, batteries, etc...
  14. HX effects has 2 effects loops so that will be easy. As a side note, given the question, I'd suggest to take a couple minutes to understand 4cm rather than reading a diagram. Anyways, assuming you have 4cm setup correctly: -drop a send/return block for effects loop #2 where ever you want the muff to be in your signal chain and that's it really. Hx send 2 > muff in > muff out > hx return. Snickering as I type this is proof I haven't grown up yet. Understanding 4cm makes this common sense. Look at your amp as though it is two separate units each with they're own input and output: Unit 1: preamp - input guitar - output power amp Unit 2: power amp - input preamp - output speaker Now look at the helix like two effect units (and to be honest it's most efficient to treat it that way as well): Effect unit/rack 1 = Pre-amp effects (distortion, pre eq, wah, volume swells, etc...) - input guitar - effects send out (to the front of the preamp - guitar in on the amp) Effects unit/rack 2 = power amp effects (time based, reverb, master volume, etc...) - input = Preamp out on your amplifier (send on the amp) - output = input on your power amplifier (return on the amp) Draw it out if it helps, but make sure you understand it if for any other reason than needing to trouble shoot in seconds while the rest of the band (and audience) is staring at you during a performance.
  15. Sheesh.... I was getting ready to update mine, I'm a few or so updates behind. but reading this.... I don't wanna be setting up and have any issues. She's pretty bullet proof right now, I read the forum for a month or so looking for these before attempting an update (got screwed before and didn't realize the faults until mid set... Never. Again.) Guess I'll wait. Lol

I'll get a proper pic up once the remodel is done ;) But here's what's in it.
  17. Fun song! Here's us... audio isn't great, cell mounted behind us... there's no where in this place to not have a camera die to craziness! I can pop up the patch if you want. You'll need the amp and cab blocks as I use 4cm with a road king. A patch setup for "where the streets have no names" is perfect for the clean part.
  18. Yeah on the output. Basically you just need to make sure it's going to output Instrument/Mic level, I wouldn't feed a line level output; could end up clipping. The exact rjm unit I use is the mini amp gizmo and the one waiting for use is the rg-16. As far as amp channel switching capabilites they're both similar. I've used both, so depending on what you can find used if you get something like the rg-16 it will handle your current needs and give you future expansion abilities. Which mesa preamp are you looking for? There's an rjm mesa rectifier series interface cable on ebay for $20. I'd snatch that up if you're planning on it, that's an awesome price for the cable. If you want a pure analog path eventually, my plan, the prostage stuff is nice. I've got their remote wah and volume pedal as of now, again stored until I complete all purchases.
  19. At least it has a power switch! I still think this is how it went down "Great job! Looks and sounds fantastic. Okay. Now how do I turn it off?" "Ummmmmm...." "Damnit Tim!" ~HD500
  20. Okay.... if I were a developer for line 6.... yes. There would be an option to play block out, asteroid, that snake one.... anything you could program into a graphing calculator. And that's why I'd probably get fired. Hey line 6, you hiring? I've got a few things I'd like to work on. ;)
