Not certain with the Graph Tech, but typically, the saddle acts as signal return when contacting the piezo outer casing.

If the ground planes are set up correctly.

I am sorry , i don't get it. I want to make a star grounding, the question is , were can i solder the ground wire? Thank you for the assistance!

Part of it is the physic dimensions, they won't fit the saddles.

Don't know yet about the electric characteristics or how they

    match up impedance wise.

That's a ten year old product. Not easy to get parts for.

I need your help mr. Psarissian. I manage to get my hand on graphteck, and manage to fit them on the bridge. Graphteck has ground wires. Were is the grounding of the variax bass, so I can connect the ground of the piezo??

Hey my friend. How are things?

How hard is it to fit these in place of the existing ones?

Hallo there, all great, thanks mate!

It is pretty easy to install them, the big difference is that the old, original piezo had just a single wire, going to the motherboard, while the graphteck has 2 (hot and ground).

The hot you connect them to the motherboard (same positions as the original) while the ground you sum them to one (all together) and solder them to the grounding of the variax (honstly i made this operation 11 years ago and dont remember were was the grounding of the instrument) But i remember, that the blue wire was the hot, and the nakes the ground. Dont know if they changed the wires color after all these years, but i dont think so.

Pretty easy to do alone, you need soldering iron, a screwdriver, and you are ready to go.

600 has a lacquer back of the neck, this one doesn't, so it has to be a 300.

I have two 600's here in the lab with lacquered back of the necks.

They can be hard to tell apart.

This has a custom pick guard, graph tech nut,  and tremolo. As far as I am aware, the 300 never had tremolo, as well as the 500. Neck could be scrached sand paper, for easier playability.

I cut my head that this is a 600 since there is a tremolo.

How is that even possible? Would anyone force you to use them? No. So how could they turn you off?

If these would be priority, a pc editor would be secondary, or even never to happen. For me it is a turn off.

  6. Τouch screen and mobile app, are turn off for me. More important is to have all amps and effects that are currently on helix, plus separate power amps to create my own amps.

I looked up the guitar profiler. It is actually the ZT-1. The company has actual guitars that have the software installed like the Variax. It honestly (at least on the videos....) sounds better than the Variax, which leads me to believe that Line 6 could update their technology. I use the variax for  a sitar and some other stuff that sounds kind of ok. However, most of the models sound hollow and sterile. The XT-1, at least on the video really sounds like an actual guitar. I would have to play one in order to really see what it is like. Pretty much everything they sell, except the app, is out of stock though.

I have the XT1. And it is really better than the variax. It sounds like an actual guitar. It has really great acoustics. And can be used with any guitar. I have a JTV 69S, Variax 700 and variax 300. All collecting dust so far...

My jtv69 mags sound exactly the way I like a Strat to sound......however, the modeled sounds are waaaaaaay too mid-rangy for me. I've tried to mid-scoop the models

without any success. I'd like to get the models to sound as close to the mags as possible!   Any tips or patches (HD500x) to share?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Mess around with this patch (Reamp+TalkBox.hlx) to see if its works for you. You guitar from the DAW comes in on USB 7 to path 1A. Change the amp and cab and FX to whatever you like best. The important bit is the FX Loop send to your hardware talk box (instrument level) and then the Mic you use with Talk tube comes in on path 1B  the gain block is off - it's just there to split the path) and goes into the cab, and your wet FX , then out on Multi which sends USB 1&2 processed audio back to the DAW to be recorded on USB 1&2.

    Hope this helps/makes sense.

Thanks, that was the thing I wanted!!!

    Hi,

If this is a "real" hardware talk box, then the post from "brue58ski" above seems to cover getting the Mic input signal sorted out. It's just that you mention you want to re-amp some old solos, which I guess you will be playing back from a DAW on your computer? If that's the case you will need to set your old recorded guitar signal to play back out on USB 7 and set the Helix input to USB 7. Set the Helix Output to USB 1&2 and enable a track in your DAW to record the new talk box version fully processed.

    Hope this helps/makes sense.

Yes, that is exactly that! My question is, should i use the mic to output? and if yes what in - out should i choose?

  11. Help! I recently added a talk box, in my helix, and want to reamp with it some old solos. What procedure should i follow? What ins and outs should i select on helix and program?
