Thanks Brother.....  I'll try  legacy heavy distortion before the dual rectifier? Or the legacy blue treble comb before a metal amp? Small tips to keep us up until 2.8!!

    Come on 2.8

Heavy distortion (boss metalzone ) before the recto, and blue treble comp before any metal amp! Tell me your results!

While I am a moderator I think I will leave the decision on where this post belongs to Line 6 because I think it falls in a grey area.

The title of this area is Promote Your Patches and that's what I think you're doing. However, I believe this area is intended to be a space where people can promote the patches they are selling rather than offering for free. Since yours are being offered for free there's nothing against you placing this post in the general Helix forum. The other promoters here can't do that under the Terms of Use, which is why this special place was created. Your post might also get more visibility in the general forum because people visiting here expect to be paying. Anyone looking for free stuff may not come here.

In in any case your generosity is appreciated.

Thank you Silverhead, your comments always make my mood go up.

To bring some life back to your guitar, try putting a Parametric EQ in front of your chain with these settings:

    Low Level: -5dB

    Low Freq: 495Hz

    Low Q: 1

    Mid Level: +12dB

    Mid Q: 0.5

    Mid Freq: 5kHz

    High Level: +12dB

    High Q: 0.5

    High Freq: 10k

Adjust the Low/Mid/High gains to taste.

Great tip, JCM 800 came to life after it as a metal amp of post production! Thanks !!

Thanks for the info. You people are awesome.

Would be nice to use a parametric eq with these setings AFTER THE CAB

    Low Level: -5dB

    Low Freq: 495Hz

    Low Q: 1

    Mid Level: +12dB

    Mid Q: 0.5

    Mid Freq: 5kHz

    Low cut at 100hz

    High cut at 7000

and/or the cali eq with the classic V shaped parameters, +4 db, +2db, -4db, +2db, +4db (as an example)

And last effect in the chain, a tube compressore with default threshold, gain at 7.1 to 7.4, set to limit, emphasis 1.6

    Gonna love the results.

  6. Try another unit. Go to the nearest musical store with your guitar and cable, and try another helix. If the result is ok, then it is your unit. Send it back since it is still under warranty, and get another. If your guitar and cable are lifeless in the other unit, then it is your guitar or cable broken.

Yeah... gear can come and go mostly unnoticed. It's camouflaging new guitars that's a pain in the arse...

"When did you get that one? "

Best answer: "Is it time for shoe and handbag inventory already?"

    Conversation over...;)

Pfff, amateurs... Got Helix, a new laptop, new studio monitors, and on top of that, absinthe and 2 prostituttes to spend the weekend... And the wife? Never came at the marriage!!!!

  8. Yes there is! I clearly hear something dual coming out.

1)Open your workbench and see if the magnetic blend is rised.

    If yes, nullify it.

If no, try to reinstall the firmware on the variax.

    2) Is your magnetic pickups rised? Have you swap the pickups with others?

If yes, make sure to lower the heigh of the pickups. If you swap, make sure there is no string pull from the new pickups

    3) If nothing of the above, maybe hastag psarkissian to help you.
