What more can I add except it sounds phenomenal with the L6 link..... STAGESOURCE
L2t and L2m 800-watt, two-way, bi-amped design

ONBOARD
DIGITAL MIXER (L2T) Your self-contained live sound solution.
StageSource L3t and L2t include an innovative digital mixer featuring everything you need to take control of your sound. Sweeten any vocal or instrument using the 3-band EQ with sweepable mid. Apply Smart Mod and Smart Reverb effects on each input channel to achieve studio-quality vocals on the stage. Use Line 6 acoustic guitar modeling to add depth and warmth to your acoustic guitar. The combination of effects, acoustic guitar modeling and best-in-class I/O make StageSource L3t and L2t the perfect all-in-one live sound solutions for musicians.
The two-way, bi-amplified design of L2t and L2m delivers exceptionally balanced, clean and articulate reproduction of live sources and pre-recorded material. A 1†exit high-frequency compression driver is matched to a precision-engineered, 100x50-degree, constant-directivity waveguide, which delivers consistent coverage to ensure everyone in the audience enjoys the same acoustic experience.
The 100-degree horizontal dispersion is wide enough for solo use yet controlled enough for arrayed pairs. The 50-degree vertical coverage reduces acoustic smear from reflective sound surfaces, as minimal energy is reflected off of ceilings and floors.
ONBOARD ACOUSTICGUITAR MODELING Get the warmest, fullest live acoustic guitar sound possible.
We’ve spent years researching what makes guitarists sound great, and applied our knowledge and technology to next-generation speakers that deliver amazing tone for acoustic players. StageSource L3t and L2t are the only PAs that provide acoustic guitar body resonance modeling, giving your acoustic guitar impressive tone and body resonance
Most acoustic guitars feature piezo pickups, which transfer the vibration of the strings to your PA speaker—but miss the resonance of the wooden guitar body. So you get stuck with thin, bright sound. Only StageSource features Variax® acoustic body resonance modeling, giving your acoustic guitar the impressive tone it deserves.

SPEAKER MODESFOR ANY PERFORMANCE An incredibly versatile system. You can use six powerful DSP-based speaker modes to optimize the StageSource® output for a variety of performance scenarios. Onboard accelerometer and pole mount sensors automatically detect the speaker’s orientation and set the speaker mode accordingly.
Speaker Modes:
REFERENCE/PA
Reference/PA mode is for live sound reinforcement and features a flat frequency response, a 2.2kHz crossover frequen- cy and maximum low-frequency extension. This mode is the optimal reference setting, whether your cabinet is mount- ed on a tripod, on stage or installed as part of a larger multi-component system. Reference mode is also ideal for FRFR applications—it reproduces your tone with tremendous bottom-end accuracy, mid-range clarity, and just the right amount of top-end edge. And if you have a POD® HD500X or POD HD Pro X, you’ll experience perfect tone reproduction when you plug directly into the L6 LINKâ„¢ input for digital integration and select “Studio Mode.â€
PLAYBACK MODE
Playback mode is optimized for pre-recorded music. Functionally, Playback mode is similar to P.A. mode but includes an EQ curve that emphasizes extreme low and high frequencies, making it well-suited for playing back music from a CD or MP3 player, or for DJ applications.
FLOOR MONITOR MODE
Floor Monitor mode is automatically activated when the onboard accelerometer detects the unit is in a horizontal position (you can also manually override this setting). This mode provides a slight reduction in low-frequency content to counteract coupling when the speaker is placed horizontally on the stage. StageSource loudspeakers offer two built-in solutions for 30- and 60-degree monitoring angles achieved via dual integrated kickstands and a robust, retractable handle. When the speaker is in use, the kickstands and handle lock into secure, rattle-free positions.
KEYBOARD MODE
Keyboard Mode optimizes StageSource for use as a keyboard backline amplification system. This mode features a flat frequency response with a 3.5kHz crossover frequency, adding more relative energy to the cone and providing a warmer response that is pleasant for instruments. This mode also provides Virtual Tilt-back, which optimizes the speaker’s tuning to achieve an upward tilt to its main axis and aim the sound towards the performer.
ACOUSTIC GUITAR MODE
Acoustic guitar mode is optimized to provide a warm and balanced full-range amplification experience for acoustic instruments. This mode also features a 3.5kHz crossover frequency, with a custom-tailored low-frequency response to minimize “boominess†than can occur when amplifying acoustic instruments. Acoustic Guitar mode provides Virtual Tilt-Back, which optimizes the speaker’s tuning to achieve an upward tilt to its main axis and aim the sound towards the performer.
StageSource offers another benefit for acoustic performers—acoustic guitar modeling. Most acoustic-electric guitars utilize a piezo pickup that captures string vibrations but typically doesn’t convey the resonance of the guitar’s body. The acoustic modeling feature, based on Line 6® Variax® technology, supplements the piezo signal with a physical model of an acoustic guitar’s natural body resonance. The combination of the 3-way loudspeaker, acoustic modeling and feedback suppression make StageSource a powerful live sound solution for acoustic musicians.
ELECTRIC GUITAR MODE
Electric Guitar Mode was designed to accommodate the modern guitarist who uses a multi-effects floorboard device such as the Line 6 POD, primarily running into a tube power amp using the “Power Amp†output mode. Rather than sending the signal from the guitarist’s floorboard to an amplifier and then mic’ing the amp, this mode features an overall frequency response that emulates the sound of a 212 combo amp. The dual 10†speakers play full range, with the horn adding only the smallest amount of sparkle to the sound. Users of the Line 6 POD HD500X or POD HD Pro X can plug directly into the L6 LINK input for digital integration. This mode also provides Virtual Tilt-Back, which optimizes the speaker’s tuning to achieve an upward tilt to its main axis and aim the sound towards the performer.

I fixed it with a drop of lube on the right side of the peddle axle bushing.

Wiring.
Most potentiometers have three connectors; Clockwise, Counter-clockwise, and Wiper. Amazingly, there are multiple different ways these can be wired, all achieving largely the same result, which means yet more variations for expression pedals. The most common expression pedal wiring is to connect the pot to a 1/4″ stereo (TRS) instrument jack as follows:CW —— Sleeve
Wiper — Tip
CCW —– RingAn alternative is with the tip and the ring reversed as follows:
CW —— Sleeve
Wiper — Ring
CCW —– TipYet a third way is as follows:
CW —— Sleeve
Wiper — Tip
CCW —– TipIn this last one, the wiper and CCW are bonded together and connected to the tip and the ring is unused. This requires the use of a mono (TS) cable such as a regular guitar cable, in place of the stereo (TRS) cable used in the other two. These three are the most common that we see in expression pedals, but we keep finding more. Sometimes a dual gang potentiometer is wired in parallel to create a single pot with half the resistance. For example you may see a dual 20K Ohm potentiometer bridged into a single 10K. In this case the pedal will function the same as if it were a native 10K Ohm single pot.
.....................................
OK so now we know we can do this:
The third way is the Line 6 way. (after some google searches I found this out)
This also alleviated the backwards operation problem and the 0 - 100 - 0 problem...
which means after the conversion you don't need to use TRS cables anymore you can use TS cables. Also now with either the 12k ohm pot in the one and the 10k ohm pot in the other I get full 0% to 100% on the Helix control.
here is what I did to make mine compatible so there would be no need for re configuring. the Potenteiometer on this 1 is 10k

Here is before

here is after... so just moving 1 wire (the green/ring) and put it together with the (red/Tip) and the (black/sleeve) stays the same.
also I jumped out the back on the side pot that is for changing the "throw" of it to disable it and not doing it made it have issues when you adjusted it it would not go back to full throw. (If that makes any scents to you)

My other one

here is after... so just moving 1 wire (the green/ring) and put it together with the (red/Tip) and the (black/sleeve) stays the same.

this model had a duel 24k pot and I soldered each connection 1,2 and 3 to 1,2 and 3 (you see it better in the picture above) making it a single 12k pot

This can be done with a soldering iron with no extra solder. just heat up the green wire pull it off and put it on with the red and heat it up to connect it.

it's kind of ridiculous....near the end I lean into it a little and you can hear it scrapping the side of the opening. I am just setting my foot on enough to use it in the first part.

the only ones I found are in the txt file in the gillmore down load
this is it:
Thank you so much for your support. My Global EQ settings are as follows:Low Gain, Mid Gain and High Gain are ALL set to ZeroI use the Low Cut set at 90HzI use the High Cut set at 6.0 Hz
........................
they don't effect the L6 link
-
Yeah, here's what to do.
1.) Buy it and take it home
2.) Update the firmware
3.) Buy Glenn DeLaune's Helix patches
4.) Configure global EQ to his settings
5.) Run both XLR from the Helix to a pair of decent quality full range flat response speakers
6.) Play guitar!!
As others mentioned above, no ideal sounds to be had in store. Need to do firmware update, that mic setting glitch made everything sound harsh, not right, which has been corrected. Be sure to follow the steps to reset all globals and patches after doing firmware update, before you load Glenn's patches on there..
Just my two cents. That's exactly what I did, and it sounds incredible. I am using two L2t speakers, which does make a difference, they rock, but other FRFR options will work. Heck a pair of 5" studio monitors will get you going!
I got the patches wheres the settings for the eq?

jaminjimlp, I have not. My goal is to focus on moving away form the Mark V:25 head for convenience and use the Helix models. Dumbing down my gear and having to only use the Helix, 44mag, Thiele 1x12 and my guitar would be ideal for gigging. I am our lead singer and play some keys as well, so less is more for me... I know the Helix will provide me everything I could ever need. Thanks for the input!
Then just get a Line 6 L2M and forget about the amp and the 1 X 12 speaker you won't need it... hooked up to the L6 link the L2M sounds awesome.
-
I had a buddy on another forum who took his back after having it 2 weeks ... before any good firmware update went out... I think he made a huge mistake, I love my Helix it is so easy to dial up tones, which I had big trouble doing on my 11 rack (depended on others presets) a +1 on both the guys before me.
I have used mine mostly through 2 L2M's with the L6 link. sounds so good!!!

2.0... 2.0... 2.0.... Are we there yet?!?!?!?!?! I got to pee :o B)

nice thanks for sharing

Line 6 Helix Does It Play Nice With Valve Amps?
-
It's worth asking, what version of the firmware are you running?
and did you try the 4cm?

It works I've done it

No kidding...
Also, what with those curtains? Floral patterns? That's so 2013... :P
and Dude you know that chain lock on the door is pretty much useless...
but seriously nice vid

I like some of the Redwires and the Ownhamers and some of the other free ones I acquired on the net but the one I like best is One I made with a mix of a bunch of free ones and one a guy made from a kemper cab with the iRmix2 program hooked up to my DAW and using the looper wile mixing IR's until I got several nice ones... also I did just drag and drop in the helix app to test before that.
I think the Line 6 ones are very nice too and the options of the stereo cabs to set up with two different cabs is like mixing IR's also.

Reminds me of some Jeff Beck stuff...really liked it

i did reset them as well, still the same problem...but maybe it mainly is that problem with the sm57...there´s of course been other problems as well...the helix app f.e. froze etc...and it often froze while upgrading as well...
i´ll actually try altering the mic settings...
Have you tried any IR's? and did you make it to ver. 1.0.4.2????
I did have an issue after the first time I loaded it and tried to reload my presets, it locked up and lost connection to the comp and was dead in the water even restarting it would go past the load screen and go blank so I loaded the firmware again and had no problems since.
try this IR I made with some free ones I found and mixed together. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zqe6sfla34v6fjg/GHK.wav?dl=0

It's a bit invisible, but the release notes on Oct 30 for v1.03 say:
"Improvements made to the factory preset bundle"
It was made clearer in this thread that this included the SM57 on all presets fix, which contributed a lot to people saying "the presets suck".
So, if you have >= v1.03, and they still suck, it's a different problem.
well I could be wrong but if you didn't do this then all your factory presets are still like on ver. 1.0.0
RESETTING HELIX GLOBALS
IMPORTANT! This procedure will completely overwrite all existing presets and setlists, as well as clear all user IRs and reset all global settings! Back up your presets and IRs before proceeding!
1. Turn off Helix.
2. While holding footswitches 9 and 10 (middle two switches on the bottom row), turn on Helix. Wait for the message “Will reset Globals and restore stock Presets, Setlists and IRs…†to appear and let go.
................. in ver. 1.0.3 it dose say (optional) but heck its worth a try.
I just did it before posting they sound good now and I had not done it before because I didn't want to lose my IR's and have to reload them... but it's done now and I am glad I did it. now there is a lot of usable factory presets that can be used to add your own FX to the first maybe 20 of them are just amp and speaker.
-
Yeah I thought about using the http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php the helix app also cuts off the name if it's too long... the Ownhammer ones are real long.

FACT: ALL PRESETS SUCK.
Hey I just updated my Helix and did the factory reset to load the "new version" of the factory presets and I must said I was pleasantly surprised that they sounded 10x better than the original ones I liked well over 60% of them compared to about less than 1% the first time when I got the Helix.
I am talking about "factory presets 1"
Thanks Line 6 for updating them Great Job!!!

Nope. Went to a patch with no volume and no wah (no expression what so ever) in it and when you press the toe switch the same thing happens. No sound till reboot. It is definitely the flimsy design of the expression pedal with regards to the inner layout. You can feel the expression pedal flex and the inside of the unit as well. i looked on the bottom of the unit and think I found the problem. There's a huge "Made in China" sticker on it. Again, my fault, should have expected nothing different.
hey check out this thread!!! the guy documents the same thing you said is happening to you

Thanks guys I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I got it right 3 out of 5, 3 different times but was only guessing because it sound good on both.

I was saving my IR's from the Helix app with the export function and it saved them in alphabetical order and no #'s so I have taken some screenshots to help remember there order because after the update if load up my presets if the IR's are not in the right place they won't sound the same after the factory reset.
I guess I was hoping it would save the #'s too so it would be real easy to get back up and running after any firmware update or reset.
What have any of you done to make it easier. I have all 128 slots filled I don't use them all but want them there when dialing up tones
Speakers to run my Helix in stereo.

I do want to add that you don't need the L3t or L3m because the guitar freq don't go that low I know because I have tried it with mine and found unless you dive bomb or use a bass.
How did I know? because the three speakers in it are on a crossover and I thought that one driver on each of my speakers was not working until I was told about the crossover by Line 6 and then tried it myself.
As far as loudness it is extremely loud but also sounds just as good at low volume. I use 2 L2m's hooked up with the L6 Link.
