  1. Our stuff is in the pipeline, but running a bit late. They keep pushing back our ETA on stuff.

Waiting for parts and product like everyone else.

With lock downs in China easing up, it's now a matter of catch up. No work slow downs with

the trucking people, though we had a close call with the rail service recently. Everyone is almost

caught up from that Ever Given bottleneck in the Suez canal. Almost caught. Almost had another

one there last month. Close call.

Fortunately CoVid didn't eat my homework. We've all been here in repair since post lock-down May 2020.

Don't know what's up with the service center in Austin. Maybe their people catching a bug, maybe weather...

winding down from hurricane and tornado season soon. Not a problem shippers. No open orders from them

for parts. Questions, but no answers,... debating in a vacuum, as the saying goes.

I'll try to keep everyone updated as I can.

  2. Don't recall any of the early ones,... hmmm. Interesting.

Both of my early ones are around 8 and 9 pounds, one from late 2010, the other mid 2011.

Used to crew for a notable rock band in the mid to late 1970's, and the guitar player had

a '53 or '57 Led Paul. They were rather heavy, I got used to that, so I love heavier 59's.  :)

Have an early 2019 Cherry Sun on the bench right now, feels like a 7.8 to 8.2 pounder.

Good feel to it, plays good.

  3. Would have to run the magnetic pick-up on a separate line from the Variax electronics. And have to steer clear of

Variax cabling when routing out the pocket for the magnetic  pick-up. Would have to be a luthier in your area with

    experience with our product.

Magnetic field pulling on strings can cause warbling in the sound when in model mode, so pick-up height

adjust has to be spot on.

Mod to our product would be an unsupported modification. So if something goes wrong and is sent to to us,

chances are we would have to sent it back untouched.

  4. Encoders have the same number of positions on all of the JTV, Standard and Shuriken Variax guitars.

Models are the same, though the Shuriken comes half regular models and half Stevic McKay artist models,

and one can re-Flash to default models, then back to artist models as one likes,... only with the Shuriken.

Alt Tune on the 89/89F and Shuriken are different than the others.

"R-Billy" is the rock-a-billy slot on JTV's, part of the regular selection that comes with it.
