  1. Try one of foll:

    a. Insert an FX loop in ur chain (place it at the end of the chain if u want a plain clean boost, or in front of an amp or dist pedal to drive them harder if u want more gain). Use short jumper cable 2 connect the FX loop out to the FX loop in. Set the FX loop return at taste (eg +4dB). Assign the FX loop to a switch as (clean) boost 4 solos. . If stereo is a must, use appropriate jumper.

    b. Use a Studio eq in ur chain (c abv regarding placing). Set gain at taste (eg +4db).

    c. Assign EXP-1/2 to amp CH VOL (min = rythm, max=solo).

  2. Any guitar is going to interact between strings when tuning.  The neck bends as you change the string tension even if you don't have a trem.  If you have a trem, the whole trem block  moves when you adjust one string.  You have to go through the strings tuning them until they are all in tune.  Doesn't matter what order if you are using a tuner.

alternatively, u cld use tronical autotune....

with just 1 strum 'n all strings r perfectly tuned...

  3. dual paths give u the option of having 2 different signals coming out of the left and right outputs.

    how r u going 2 take advantage of this cool feature, it's up 2 u, i don't know ur specific amp configuration/capabilities.

  4. ...Jandrio's link, tho informative, doesn't take into account the Link-to-DT part of the equation, it would be (somewhat) obvious if I were just running everything straight to PA.....!

since output mode affects ONLY MIC+CAB emulation, I believe that if u send the acoustic modesl (yes, u cld even achieve stereo!) via XLR 2 pa wld sound perfect.

so i suggest u set output mode 2 whatever sounds best 4 ur dt amp via L6 Link...

  5. I design gear and manage existing (and yet unreleased) products for Line 6.  :)

I think that after the latest f/w updates on JTV/workbench-HD/HD500 and the complete integration of all these products, a wireless VDI 2-way 2-channel communication bundle between JTV+HD500, with power provided by the existing JTV battery pack module will b the last finishing touch to a good painted table...

  6. ... There's not much you can do to compensate a soundguy with a tin ear....

    absolutely true!

in these cases, during sound check prior the show, try feeding the pa with a couple of mp3 studio-mastered tracks of the songs u r gonna play and tweak the "master" eq till u get acceptable results...
