  1. ..try holding the model knob in a little longer and see what happens...

My q was concerning the abv, not a flash update...

I know that on pre 2 f/w versions, by pressing 'n holding the Guitar Model Selector until the backlights behind both this knob and the Alt Tuning knob start flashing, I enter  in Variax Mode and I can access Virtual Capo.

Does this feature apply also on latest 2.1 f/w?

  2. New versions of processor driven equipment that run say 20% faster has usually more subtle changes than just being able to do 20% more. For one, all things it does are done 20% earlier and that by itself could remove soundartifacts created by delay, e.g., although a faster digital processing step produces the same result, it may provide that result a few clock periods earlier and when this happens with a couple of things that are supposed to 'run' in parallel (but really are done in sequeunce) the outcome of summing signals will be sightly different. To sum it up, there is no such thing as 'just +20% DSP'. There are other effects at play and it seems a careful listener can pick them up.

  3. Problem solved after i reinstall my windows! Thanks all to you guys for your helps!

just nother verification of previous posts...

One major critical factor that nobody pays any attention at all is the computer’s operating system (OS).  Remember that all L6 s/w operates on top of the OS.  If the OS is not working flawlessly and virus-free (and believe it or not,  a certain OS in many cases it is not), then nothing performs as expected. So, as a rule of thumb, always perform a FW update after a FRESH REBOOT, with no other "..daemons" running on ur PC.

even with bright new machines, bro murphy’s law still proves itself...

  4. ...This sounds way too good and easy to be true...

believe or not  my friend, it is true, it's easy, it is good and it is HD500 !

match HD500 with a JTV and it's even better...

  5. besides HD500+DT25 and amplifi, there is also a third option, HD500 + FRFR speaker(s).

I believe the JTV+HD500 bundle is unbeatable as far as sound fields/potential r concerned.

amplifi is based on old-version modelling, HD500 stands for High Definition.

u can control the JTV+HD500 bundle through a netbook PC/MAC, which u must anyway have with the amplifi option, cause u need the PC/MAC in order 2 tweak the JTV.

below u can read an excellent post by ColonelForbin, who did a thorough market research 4 active monitors

also a very well documented comparison btwn HD500 'n amplifi from same user:

  6. ...2) While it is possible to set things up so that you can use your internal laptop soundcard (and hence its speakers) you will suffer a significant reduction in sound quality. I don't recommend it...

    u will also experience latency.
